WAYS TO DE-STRESS AT CHRISTMAS

RELAX

It is easy to get stressed during Christmas holidays. As a student, you can be overwhelmed by Christmas homework and post-holiday exams. But don’t worry, since we´re going to give you some tips to de-stress during this winter

A simple yet effective way to de-stress is to take a deep breath, count to ten and slowly breath out. Another way to get rid of stress is to laugh. It reduces stress-inducing hormones and it can give you a good workout.

One easy and fun way to de-stress this holiday is to decorate your Christmas tree in your free time. By unleashing your creativity, it won´t only make you less stressed, but it will make your house look better as well!

Having a calendar in sight with everything you have to do helps you to manage how you spend your time, which can also help you to see things more clearly and help you to de-stress.

I hope these tips could help you get less stressed these holidays. Have in mind, though, that being a bit stressed can actually help you perform better.

Holiday traditions and gifts

Christmas is all about making memories!
The most common one is decorating the tree or watching Christmas movies with a plate of cookies and milk at hand.
Maybe YouTube has already had fun Christmas traditions that you share with your family every year, if not, here are some ideas to start yours:

If you like to have fun inside , I recommend you to make Christmas crafts while you listen to Christmas Carols, to decorate your home with accessories made to your liking, and even if you have a pet, you can create a funny and cute Christmas costume.

If the cold can't beat you and you prefer to have fun outside your home, you can go ice-skating, go caroling, watch the tree lighting in your city and many more great plans, but in my opinion the best plan is to participate in a toy collect, for children whose families are not having a good time so that they can have their christmas presents.

Regarding gift traditions, in Spain the three Wise Men deliver the gifts, they arrive at the children´s house to give them their gifts on the night of January the 5th. Although every time is more common to find that in Spain on the night of December 24th Father Christmas with his big belly and his characteristic red suit, to bring gifts to the children. The latter is a tradition that Spain has imported from the USA.

In conclusion, Christmas traditions vary over the years, but there is something that will never change, the Christmas essence: spending time with your loved ones.
