My hair stood on end, a shiver raced down my spine, and  goosebumps appeared on my skin. “This house looks creepier than normal, don’t you think?” I nervously mumbled.
“ Yeah, Kinda, Let’s go check it out!” replied Ashton, dragging me by the arm and walking over to the old spooky house.

As we got closer to the house, we could see the iron gates , rusting with age, the decaying trees, are tall dark figure, dancing in the wind like ballerina’s on a stage. The mossy cobblestone path, and the overgrown vines, that now cover one side of the building.
“ Are you sure you want to do this?” I asked, now feeling even more anxious that before.
‘’I’m sure…” said Ashton nervously .
At the rear end of the house, there was a large three - storey tower with a steep roof, on the opposite side there was a matching tower. Attic windows of different shapes and sizes sprang out of the roofs randomly, and a long verandah starting at the front door wandered around the house, having to make several turns before it ran into the base of the tower at the back.
The paint on the outside, was light grey. But it was cracked, and chipped, so it looked more brown now. The mansion was like an old toy, that no one wanted anymore and was left to gather dust.
Ashton and I walked up to the doorstep.
“ I’m not knocking!” I said hiding behind Ashton’s back, terrified.
“ Fine!” said Ashton bravely, “ I’ll knock.” Just as she went to knock…. CRAAACKK!! The wooden deck was so old it was breaking to pieces!
“HELP!” I screamed, about to fall into the deep hole, “ I can’t hold on much longer!”
But Ashton was running home as fast as she could, and didn’t want to get herself into a mess like that ever again. As for me, I never left that hole.
