Setting

It Takes Place before and during World War II and From April of 1933 to May 1945

The First location is In Germany and though a variety of concentration Camps

Daniel

He Is A 14 yr. old Boy that is the main character of the book an really care about his family he risked his life to hide the radio and Ericka’s Instrument from the Nazis and also took wood from an apartment and some furniture to put in there apartment to keep it a little warmer because it was so cold in there apartment. Because there mother was very ill. He Makes it through the camps and Made It back To his hometown.

He is Daniel’s dad he owed an Jewish store before The Nazis Arrived and the store was boycotted and Mother,Father, and Ericka where found and taken to camp and later on Father and Daniel meet up and They see Ericka One last time and Daniel and his Father Are really close together and always are side by side. He also makes it through the camp and arrives back to his hometown

Ericka-Is Daniel’s little sister that is 9 yrs. old  she works hard though the concentration camp and loves music and her instrument and is really sad when the Nazis banned from having radio and instruments, passed away at the end of the concentration camp Because she was so weak and was in hiding.

Important Event and the Effects

1.Event: Uncle Peter Is one of the first to go to the Concentration camp and he does not get very far in the camp he dies right away.

Effect:That affected Daniel a lot because daniel did not like school at all and Uncle Peter become a teacher at a jew school and Daniel starts to like it and them Peter Died and Daniel Gave up in school.

2.Event: Father, Mother, and Ericka Get Found By The Nazis and Are taken By train and Daniel and Fredrick are left at the Barracks.

Effect:Daniel is Scared because he don’t know if they will ever meet up again and daniel is scared and Is by himself and no Adults

Important Events and Effects

3.Event: Adam shoots a SS Officer and the other SS officer seen Adam and shoot him and he died.

Effect:That Scared Daniel because then he thought the SS officers would come and possibly shoot Daniel and His Father  and also Adam Died and there is only Daniel and father still alive.

4.Event:Daniel and His Father Shot 1 SS officer and steal his gun and then shoot another Officer and steal his gun They to that repeatedly and They kill the SS officers

Effect:  That Affected Daniel Because all the SS officer Were                
                       Died or they got scared and ran away and then the Army    
came in also and the Jews were safe and were all freed.

Daniel's Conflict

Daniels Main Problem is Mother, and sister Die and the rest of his friends and that is bad because he had to live the rest of his live without His family members and his friends 

Conflict

Man Vs Man-Because if someone died in concentration camp or got separated from someone that would hurt the other family member.

Man Vs World Because During this it was world war II and during that lots of people died and that hurt lots of people.

Climax

The Climax is When The Jews get freed and the Nazis Got Scared because Daniel had guns and was shooting the SS officers And the Jews were freed and went back home.

Theme

The Theme is Never Give up and always think the best of it.
