There is a rumor of a scary troll across from the town, and with his brothers, Finn gets to know the troll and finds out something fantastic.

Finn's Fears

When he got home, he plopped on his bed and thought about how a brave knight would not run away from a problem… they would fight it.

There was a rumor spreading through the town that a mean troll named Lassie lived in the cave, and anyone who went in the cave would never return.

He lived in a small cottage across from the castle with his mother, Jules, and his two brothers, Shawn and Gus. Around the castle and his small cottage there was a poor town, and down the hill close to the town there was a cave.

Once upon a time there lived a servant boy named Finn that worked as a butler for the castle.

And they all lived happily ever after… with lots of cake, of course!

Frightened, he turned around and ran as fast as possible. Then suddenly he&nbsp; remembered he told his mom he was getting water so he ran to the well and filled his pail with water. On his way home he had just enough time to calm down before he faced his mother.&nbsp;

He dashed to the cave to find a huge, menacing troll towering over him. He looked at its big horns as it foamed from its mouth.

Lassie the troll excitedly wiggled his horns. POOF! Out popped a yummy cake from Lassie’s big horns.

The next morning he had a plan. Before his mother woke up, he woke up his brothers, Shawn and Gus, and they all ventured off to the cave. When they got to the cave, they all stared at the scary troll and braced themselves for a fight, but instead they were greeted with a smile!

As he walked to the door, his mom stopped him. “Where do you think you’re going, mister?” she snarled at him.“I'm going to bring back a pail of water,” Finn said nervously, and with a nod his mother let him go.

Finn aspired to be a brave knight, so he decided to face his fears and go down to the cave.

Finn was surprised by the smile and turned to see his brothers were just as confused. “Would you like to be friends? I’ve been so lonely in this cave because everyone is scared of me!” exclaimed Lassie the troll. Finn, Shawn, and Gus all agreed.

“Here’s your prize for becoming my friends,” said Lassie. Finn, Shawn, and Gus all thanked the troll for the cake.&nbsp;

After leaving the cave, the three boys told everyone in the town how great Lassie the troll was. Lassie the troll loved meeting all of his new friends from the town, and troll cake soon became a popular dessert.
