It is important for health and well-being that your child has access to fresh water throughout the day, especially as the weather is beginning to get warmer.
Please make sure that your child has a labelled water bottle in school, which will need to be taken home each day to be washed and refilled.
Learning in Year 5
In Mulberry class, we recently planned and cooked a 3 course Chinese inspired meal, inspired by our English text ‘The Dragon Slayer’. After much planning and researching, we had the tricky task of selecting just one starter, main and dessert from all the great ideas. We ensured that our menu included a healthy balance of all food groups to make sure the meal was nutritious.
We thoroughly enjoyed cooking our 3 courses and we completed our responsibilities with pride. Some of us want to be chefs and work in hospitality when we are older and this lesson made us even more passionate about it. We all learnt such valuable skills!
