Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic we have been committed to operating as many of our services as possible as we are conscious of how much parents rely on the childcare solution; and we look forward to continuing our Breakfast service. Unfortunately, we have experienced an acute staffing shortage at Upton Cross. This has put us in a position whereby we can’t operate a safe, engaging provision for the children that attend the service. As a result of this, the After School Club will be temporarily closing from Monday 30th of January with the last day of operation on Friday 27th of January. As long term partners with your school, it is with a heavy heart that we have collectively come to this decision. We are hopeful that 2023 will result in our normal services resuming at your school where we can reopen the After School Club to support working parents and provide children with a fun and engaging environment after school once again. Please keep an eye on your inbox for more details regarding our reopening plans for the After School Club in the future. Please note that any sessions booked for the remainder of the half-term will automatically be cancelled and credited to your account. You will receive a confirmation email to this effect.
We apologise for the inconvenience caused regarding our temporary After School Club closure. If you require an update regarding your current account please do not hesitate to contact us directly Yours sincerely Team Energy Kidz

Our uniform brings us together as a school community and makes us feel proud to represent Upton Cross. The school uniform is smart and inclusive, and has been chosen for practicality, comfort and affordability. This is important every day, including days when your child has PE.
In the warm weather pupils can wear their white t-shirt or shirt with grey or black shorts or a skirt. Pupils may also choose to wear a red checked dress. It would also be acceptable for pupils to wear shalwar kameez either in grey or black.
School jumpers, bags and t-shirts can be purchased at the school office - please see our website for a list of prices.
Headwear, including hoods, must be removed when entering the school building unless they are part of the child’s religion. All pupils should come to school dressed appropriately for weather conditions.
Learning in Year 2
In our English lessons, we have been using actions to help us remember the story of Beauty and the Beast.
In our Year 2 RE lessons this week, we have been learning about forgiveness and the importance of saying sorry and asking for forgiveness.
