Grit
I have hockey 5 time a week each for an hour and a half. We aren’t playing games and the government keeps buckling down on us for COVID rules. I was forced to play house hockey because I am not a member at the club and I got punted from my old club. I have demonstrated grit because instead of just giving up and accepting the fact that i can’t play rep hockey I have practiced harder than ever and I am getting better and next year I will play rep.
Skills
To be a goalie you have too have three things. Fast reflexes, a growth mindset, athletic.
I show these skills when I am out at the top of my crease and it is a 2 on 0 and i have to fly in the splits across the net to make the save. It is an extremely difficult task but If i do it then I feel fantastic and I usually get a pat on the back.
Skill PT. 2
To use these skills more I cloud work and use a ball to practice hand-eye coordination. This would allows me to use the skill of faster reflexes better and more effectively. Make more saves, be better.
How have your thoughts on intelligence changed as a result of new understanding?
My thoughts on failure have very much changed over these past few week. Falling is necessary but lots of people in our modern world still haven’t realized it. I started of thinking that a B was a catastrophe. That is what I was mostly raised with. But now that I have more knowlage on mindsets I know that even a C is ok.
I have trouble thinking of receiving any type of praise. Normally when I do something and show someone I really wasn’t them to tell me what is wrong with it. Not in a mean way but in a constructive way. Whenever I finish a render I always send it to Aaron for feedback on what needs to be changed. The only times I revive real praise, is when I am playing hockey and make a fantastic save. But the thing is unless you have video of that than you can’t really see what you did wrong aside from a coach telling you. We aren’t a NHL team so we don’t have a specific goalie coach.
