Interpersonal Communication
Communication; the exchange of Information and Feelings through verbal and non-verbal means.
What is Interpersonal Communication?
Interpersonal communication is the process of exchange of information, ideas and feelings between two or more people through verbal or non-verbal methods.

It often includes face-to-face exchange of information, in a form of voice, facial expressions, body language and gestures. The level of one’s interpersonal communication skills is measured through the effectiveness of transferring messages to others. However, some people display gestures and body languages that are not entirely aware of, sending an unintended message to a person or people. Interpersonal Communication is a two-way street that the sender and receivers of information should pay attention to.

Interpersonal communication is inexorable, irrevocable, complex & relative but ultimately necessary. Understanding this type of communication gives us a framework for successful & effective interaction with others in everyday situations.
Verbal and Non-verbal communication
Non-verbal communication may be very vital in effectively communicating with a person or a group of people. The use of non-verbal communication gives more context and emotions to the given message. The use of hand gestures, body posture and good eye contact are great ways of communicating non-verbally.
Your non-verbal communication cues—the way you listen, look, move, and react—tell the person you're communicating with whether or not you care, if you're being truthful, and how well you're listening. When your nonverbal signals match up with the words you're saying, they increase trust, clarity, and understanding between two or more people.

In order to become a better communicator, it's important to become more sensitive not only to the body language and nonverbal cues of others, but also to your own.

There are different types of non-verbal communication;

Facial Expression
Body Movement and Posture
Gesture
Eye contact
Confidence level.

All these forms of communication can make verbal communication more understandable and relatable. While one may not have paid attention to the effectiveness of their non verbal communications in the past, there are ways in which they can be improved.
