Childhood

Amelia Earhart was born on July 24, 1897, in Atehison Kansas. She spent much of her early childhood in the upper-middle-class household. Once she turned 12 she lived with her wealthy grandparents. Her father was a lawyer who worked for rock island Railroad in Kansas City, Missouri.

Education

Amelia Earhart went to six high schools! She went to Columbia University in 1919, Hyde Park Academy high school, Saint Paul Central high schools, and Penn state abington school.

Amelia Earhart dropped out of a few schools to become a nurse.

Amelia Earhart drove a lock head Vega 5B but Amelia Earhart was declared missing on July 2, 1937. She was the first woman to fly solo across the Atlantic ocean!
