Our Poppy class have particularly enjoyed learning all about Chinese New Year and created some beautiful artwork for their displays.

Year 3 have been learning all about tectonic plates and different rock types in their ‘Rocks and Relics’ project, including the creation of some fantastic fossils this week. Year 4 have been delving into their project ‘Blue Abyss’, exploring food chains in the deep, learning more about the oceans and looking at the impact of pollution on animals and their habitats.

Year 5 have been learning more about the groundbreaking Greeks, comparing life now to 2,000 years ago. The children studied a range of historical resources when creating their Greek pots this week. They will decorate these fabulous replicas after half term. Year 6 have been exploring the polar regions, completing some wonderful writing linked to their project. They also spent a day in our woods, orienteering and became polar explorers just like Shackleton.

Phenomenal learning across the school. Well done Bude Juniors!

We have very much been enjoying the appearance of the sunshine which hints towards the warmer days that lie ahead.

We have lots to look forward to in spring 2, with our first ever Year 4 residential, World Book day celebrations, a visit from Paralympian Kate Grey, more exciting projects and much more!

The staff team have noticed that the children across the school have been making a real effort to be polite and kind to each other and the adults. This is really wonderful to see.
