5 Stanza Poems (2020)

I hope. Hope that it ends. Hope I see my friends again, Sooner rather than later. Hope the odds are in my favor. Hope I soon won’t have to hope. Hope the isolation wavers. I dream. Dream of summer days of fun. Dream that this will soon be done, Once and for all. Dream this villain loses its thrall. Dream my dreams don’t turn to dust. Dream we hit this curveball. I wish. Wish this seclusion would end. Wish my hopes would just mend, Forever and a day. Wish my thoughts wouldn’t wander astray. Wish my wishes didn’t feel so hopeless. Wish this would all just go away. I ask. Ask why this is happening. Ask why my thoughts are rampaging, Out of control. Ask how to get back what this thief stole. Ask why I ask such fathomless questions. Ask when we’ll see how this unfolds. I think. Think of all the things I miss. Think about how this villain persists,&nbsp; Taking so much away. Think of the times my thoughts have gone astray. Think about the things I think of. Think of the break I’ve had from humanity’s fray. And I realize. Maybe this is justified. Maybe something good will come of this, Despite the sacrifice.

And who stood there as she was forgotten? A small older girl with long brown hairs Now she stays there, just the vultures and her Was it&nbsp; just one or many of them? She was stuck in a tree where four boys found her Who put Luebella down the wych elm? Who is the girl with blue shoes and a ring? 18 months inside of a tree Luebella is the name a vandal would sing No one may ever know, except she This is a true story so please don’t dismiss&nbsp; Was it murder or a simple misconception? A victim during an air raid under the mist Her family never came forward with worry A nazi spy, a bartender or was it a brothel’s business? Some cloth in her mouth sings a victim’s story&nbsp; But no one was caught for her illness In bold white letters, was it mocking or pressure? The vandal sung her story three times over the town Who danced with her that night before terror? And who was there when she was crowned? Forensics were present&nbsp; The tree claimed local knowledge&nbsp; She had birthed one heir Is the child still alive or like her- Gone in thin air Hagley Wood, Luebella was opposite rose and crown, Hasbury

A Week of Wishes Monday’s Wish Monday was dreary,&nbsp; what an awful day. The day before was so cheery, but today the sun has no choice but to go away. I sat, looking out my window pane. I begged for sun, but the only action was the sky’s decision to rain. How I wish I could run, run away from the pane,&nbsp; the clouds, the sky, But my house is too small,&nbsp; wherever I go I see the window and what's behind it, that’s all. Tuesday’s Wish Lighter is the Tuesday sky, lighter than the day before. Though clouds still float so high, the sun, I’m certain, has a beautiful show in store. When it sets for the day, the clouds, they direct stairs to I don't know ware. How I wish I could stay, stay and direct my stairs, my path, towards the clouds. But the clouds are too high, whenever I jump to touch them, I fall, because humans cannot fly. Wednesday’s Wish Wednesday? Perfect. The day I’ve been waiting for. The light blue sky, and the wind in effect, make a day better than the one before. The petrichor of spring is prominent in the air, making it hard not to flee outside. How I wish I could untangle, untangled and be untied,&nbsp; or maybe knot. Because the clouds are tangled and complex,&nbsp; I want to be like them, not flat or two dimensional like the rest.

Thursday’s Wish The Thursday wind blew me away. And almost the trees too. They wiped and whirled and chased, just like child’s play. But the wind is vicious and snapped a tree, this action it will rue. I want to help, mend the broken limbs, so that they can heal and extend. How I wish I could help, heel and mend, fix,&nbsp; the broken trees. But the limb is far up, I know if I climb, I may fall and I can’t afford to mess up. Friday’s Wish How I wish I could do all the repairs, run away from the pane, stay and direct my stairs, heel and mend without gain, but I know I would just knot, knot the nightmare, and I don’t need to mess up what is already a scare.

Monday Fun It’s fun to play outside Outside is nice and cool The air blows soft and breezy wind The wind takes the leaves and blows them everywhere Outside is a place to have fun. Tuesday Dog The dog is sweet and scruffy Scruffy dog likes to run and play Playing is fun for dogs Dogs loves to have treats Treats are ment for dogs. Wednesday Work There is lots of work to do, and lots of time to do it Sometimes work is fun And sometimes it’s not Today was not too fun There’s lots of work to do

Thursday Clouds The clouds are white and poofy poofy clouds are fun to see Seeing the clouds brings joy to me When I look at the clouds, I see little shapes in the sky The sky has lots of poofy clouds. Friday Rain Rainy day falls on the ground The ground stays wet for the day The day’s are getting shorter and shorter Rain comes from poofy clouds Rain falls on the ground

There’s a Virus Old songs, how they make your brain reminisce Reminiscing, how it makes you want to do it again Doing it again, it can’t happen now There's a virus Dancing, it is my joy Joy, oh how there's lot in life Lots, where is this joy I can’t seem to find it There’s a virus The sun, how it shines beautifully in the sky The sky, how it's happy and blue Happiness, I have it today Today there is sun But there’s still a virus The spring, its a season of nature Nature, oh how beautiful it can be Beautiful, it can’t be beautiful The world is cold There is a virus The rain, it brings so much sorrow Sorrow, it comes with death Death, there has been multiple in April Because of this virus Oh how one day the virus will be gone

Force of Nature I look at the sky expecting a nice blue day But instead, I see a rainy depressing dawn Setting the mood for these confusing times These are crazy events with no reason or rhyme. Tomorrow is the same but I have changed&nbsp; I go outside and take in the air as I walk through the range I walk to the beat of my music Because I have this great mood and don’t want to lose it.&nbsp; Now that I have changed so has the day This is amazing and I don’t know what to say I’m speechless no more rain and no more snow It was finally time for that to go &nbsp;I feel tired and unmotivated in my bed But then something clicks in my head No plan is unbreakable no man bulletproof And we all must meet our moment of truth The days are getting worst&nbsp; It’s almost like this year is cursed It seems no matter who you are even if you control the air Nature won’t even care&nbsp;

Weekdays - What Were They Like Monday - a gloomy day at the start of the week Today the weather matched the gloomy part. It was rainy and windy all day and I couldn’t even go outside It was a dark and boring day. Tuesday - an average day of not much fun Today I am tired and but in light spirits It is average outside, cold but not rainy and quite sunny It will likely be a calm and restful day. Wednesday - weirdly spelt, but normally a bland day Today it was sunny and warm and the weather was beyond “bland” Even on such a beautiful day, my procrastination presently primes in this day of freedom. This day, my work was biting at me as it lay undone. It was a fairly nice day. Thursday - before Friday, of course and usually quite joyful It was gloomy, gray, gross and more outside. Filled with rain and not much more It was cold and rain jumped from the sky’s clouds. It was peaceful, but boring because I was stuck inside. Friday - an exciting day! The start of the weekend and a relaxing start of freedom It was sunny, and a beautiful day Warm weekend starts and then rains? But that is okay. I will be ending this days of the week poetry now, even though it was fun...

If you ever see wings in the woods, you should know something weird is about to unfold. The bizarre, they have the worst laugh, and if you ever hear it… don't follow. The frightening, they eat anything in their path. If you ever see eyes at the end of a hallway, Don't follow. The frightening, they have no eyes, but they see you, and if you ever see them...run.
