It’s hard moving to a new town and especially a new school. Because you would have to make new friends , start your whole life again and move to a new house, but if you were me you would realise that meant this time a new house next to the one house no one would ever live near, the old rundown house on Clyde Street. “Man mum do we really have to move here,” I said filled with anger.”It was the only house on market darling,” she says, as she unloads the car full of our luggage.

Once I got inside I unpacked my suitcase full of clothes and chucked them on my bed, then I looked out the window gazing at the old house next door, I saw broken boards, smashed windows, leafless trees and overgrown lawns. I had this strange feeling in my stomach telling me not to go over but I decided to go anyways and investigate the house.
“come for dinner Zack,” mum interrupted, Well I go after dinner I thought.

Later that night I packed my bag with torches, batteries (for the torches), energy bars and my old baseball bat from my old school. I was a champ back then, I might been one of  the smallest but I did have a swing on the bat, they gave it to me before I left to come to this jak town.
I left the house once my Mum fell asleep so I could sneak out without her hearing me. Once I arrived at the gate, I slowly opened it. An anxious shiver crawled down my spine, SQUEAK went the gate as it scrape against the ground. I walked at a slow speed keeping watch at anything that came at me, A thorn bush caught hold on my leg and scratched me leaving marks all over it “OUCH!” I said loudly.

Then I saw it the house right in front of me, it looked way worse than just looking through my window, I was petrified. When I wasn’t frightened anymore from the house I finally walked up to the front door BUT then I notice that the door was already opened, I walked right through the place was a mess, there were books everywhere, cobwebs on every corner of the room. And that's when I heard it, it sounded really strange I followed the noise into a dark room when all of a sudden the voice vanished. I flipped the switch and searched the room nothing just a plain old room but it creeped me out.

And then I heard the strange sound again and this time it lead to the basement, I grabbed my baseball bat from my bag and made my way down the basement stairs I moved slowly one step at a time my heart raced like a racing car going 100 miles per hour, I flipped the switch OMG there was a bomb and it was just about to go off I turned to go back up the stairs but somehow I was locked in, 3,2,1 was this the end ???
