Welcome to the Aspire Academy Trust.

Our curriculum is the cultural capital we know our pupils need so that they can gain the knowledge, skills and understanding they require for success. They can only do that if we embed the right habits for learning through the Characteristics of Effective Teaching and Learning – Play and Exploration, Active Learning and Creative and Critical Thinking.&nbsp;This all takes place in the context of a safe and nurturing school environment where each individual child is known, and&nbsp;their&nbsp;learning journey is unique to them. Getting learning off to a flying start.

Aspire nurseries, led by qualified and knowledgeable staff, lay firm foundations for children in their early years. A qualified teacher from each school oversees the curriculum, learning environments and learning outcomes in conjunction with the Nursery Lead. Staff strive to ensure all children have an equal chance of success, informed by knowledge of what can be achieved.

Our nurseries, the children, families, our dedicated teams and the local community, are an integral part of the Aspire Academy Trust.&#160;We recognise the need for high quality early education where children flourish through the love and care given by all of our practitioners.&#160; We know the importance for our nurseries to have strong and respectful partnerships with parents so every child can develop during their early years and that everyone plays an active role in ensuring this is successful.&#160;&#160;

Our number one goal is to ensure all children, within our family of Nurseries, grow stronger and achieve through high-quality early education and the care that we are able to offer.

Trauma Informed Schools UK is a registered community interest company working in association with the Centre for Child Mental Health. It provides training to ensure that every adult in a school or community has the skills and understanding to respond appropriately to the relational and emotional needs children may display. TiS supports schools to create a mentally healthy environment and culture in which all within the school community, adults and children alike, can flourish and achieve. It advocates a whole school response and evidenced based relational approaches to provide an enriched environment to buffer the impact of stress that may&#160;result from adversity and painful life events. In addition, specially trained Trauma and Mental Health Informed Practitioners offer targeted intervention&#160;to&#160;children who may be experiencing challenges within their life that without support may act as a barrier to&#160;their ability to fully engage with life and learning.&#160;

"Tapestry keeps you in touch with your child&#8217;s day wherever you are"

Tapestry is an easy-to-use and secure online learning journal that helps staff and families across Aspire academies celebrate their children&#8217;s learning and development both at school and home. &#160; Tapestry facilitates this by enabling a personal journal that builds over time. Photographs, videos and notes of special moments will be made available regularly to you via your iPhone or Android App. &#160; More details on how to activate your Tapestry account will be shared once your child starts.

Our EYFS philosophy is ‘building a love of learning that will last a lifetime’.&nbsp;Our EYFS is a carefully planned environment which allows children to explore, practice and refine learning using a core set of resources which are built upon throughout the year.

At Warbstow, we place great value on the development of children as individuals and providing them with the skills, knowledge and understanding they need to prepare them for the challenges in Key Stage One and beyond. Our aim in the EYFS is to build strong foundations rooted in academic success as well as to achieve to their full potential socially and emotionally, so that ultimately our pupils go on to be active citizens of society and happy, curious life-long learners.&nbsp;

Every academy and nursery within the Aspire Academy Trust is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. We have a number of policies and procedures in place that contribute to our safeguarding commitment, including our Child Protection Policy. Sometimes we may need to share information and work in partnership with other agencies when there are concerns about a child's welfare. We will ensure that our concerns about our pupils are discussed with parents/carers first, unless we have reason to believe that such a move would be contrary to the child's welfare.
