St Dwynwen (Santes Dwynwen) was a fourth century Welsh princess who lived in what
is now the Brecon Beacons National Park. Dwynwen was rather unlucky in love, so she became a nun. She prayed for true lovers to have better luck than she did. She's also the patron saint of sick animals
She fell in love with a local lad called Maelon Dafodrill, but King Brychan had already arranged for her to marry another prince. Maelon took the news badly, so the distraught Dwynwen fled to the woods to weep, and begged God to help her. She was visited by an angel who gave her a sweet potion to help her forget Maelon, which happened to turn him into a block of ice.
it is positioned as the most romantic day of the year in Wales.

MARCH - St. Patrick´s Day - NORTH IRELAND

The day of St. Patrick, a patron saint of Ireland. Originally celebrated with religious feasts and services, St. Patrick’s Day became a secular celebration of Irish culture when it reached the United States alongside Irish immigrants.

St. Patrick was a 5th-century missionary to Ireland who is credited with bringing christianity to Ireland. He became a legendary figure by the end of the 7th century and is considered a patron saint of Ireland. St. Patrick’s Day is
celebrated annually on March 17, the anniversary of St. Patrick’s death in 461.

APRIL - Highland´s Games - SCOTLAND

In these traditional games the party, the exhibition of strength and skill, are mixed with dance and piper competitions.

All dressed in their traditional clothes. The Highland games have been held for centuries, it is believed that since the Celtic peoples inhabited these lands. In addition, they are not only celebrated in Scotland, they can also be found in Canada or the United States.

The trunk throw, the best known and most striking test is called "Caber Toss", consists of throwing a log and that it turns before falling, the trunk measures a maximum of 7 meters and weighs about 80 kilograms.
