What is Bullying


Bullying is the repetitive, intentional hurting of one person or a group by another person or group where the relationship involves an imbalance of power.

Keywords:
- repetitive - doing something a number of times.

- intentional - doing it on purpose, knowing it will upset or hurt.

- Imbalance of power - when one group or person is in a position of power over another.
Types of Bullying


-Emotional = people’s feelings
-Physical = hurting someone physically
-Racist = bullying someone for being in a different race
-Disability = bullying someone for having a disability
-Sexual =abusing someone physically
-Homophobic = bullying someone because they’re gay
-Verbal = bullying someone in the way of speech
-Cyber = any type of bullying online except for physical
-Indirect = spreading a rumour of someone else
-peer on peer abuse = being mean without realising (a bit of banter)
What is Cyber Bullying?
Cyber bullying is any form of bullying that is carried out through the use of electronic media devices, such as computers, laptops, smartphones, tablets, or gaming consoles.
If You’re Being Bullied
1. Tell someone you trust
2. Keep a record of what’s happening
3. Don’t retaliate
4. Surround with people that make you feel good
5. Don’t blame yourself it is NOT your fault
6. Be proud of who you are
7. Know your own personal strength
