Key stage 3 presents the ideal opportunity to embed collaborative working practices in the classroom. <a href="https://teachcomputing.org/courses/CP436/solving-computational-problems-in-ks3-computing">Solving computational problems in KS3 computing (CP436)</a> The National Curriculum in computing aims to enable learners to analyse problems in computational terms, and to write programs that solve such problems. This is central to the development of computational thinking. Through the application of rich subject knowledge, including algorithm and program design and execution through code, learners become confident and adaptable, and are well prepared for subsequent stages of study. Initial Needs Analysis At no cost, we can help curriculum leaders and other leaders in your school to understand and engage with the full offer of the NCCE, by completing an initial needs analysis, whereby you will discuss current provision and identify areas where further support can be given. This normally takes 30-45 minutes. It can be done via phone call or web conferencing.

Certificate awarded by BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT The <a href="https://teachcomputing.org/cs-accelerator">Computer Science Accelerator Programme</a> is a nationally recognised and certified professional development programme designed to equip colleagues in state-funded secondary, primary and middle schools, and state-funded FE colleges, with the subject knowledge and confidence to successfully teach GCSE computer science. You're eligible if you are: ·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;a trainee teacher (computing or otherwise, seeking additional specialism) ·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;supply teachers that regularly teach computer science ·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;returning teachers that will teach computer science ·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;serving teachers at state-funded schools (computing or otherwise) A bursary payment of up to £1800 is payable on successful completion of the programme.
