What Are Ghosts?Loading...
The ghost is the perceptible appearance of a dead person with at least one of their sensory organs. Perceptions such as images and sounds similar to a dead person usually occur in a place related to the deceased person. The existence of Ghosts is a contentious issue, no conclusive evidence has been found to convince skeptics.

Spiritualist opinion
CHAPTER 2
Those who advocate experimental spirituality do not think of ghosts in the sense understood in popular culture. They also think that there are no ghosts in the sense understood in popular culture. The concept of the Phantom in experimental spirituality is completely different from that in popular culture. That is why Turkish spiritualists do not use the term ghost, they use the term phantom. According to experimental neo-spiritualism, although Phantoms are formed as a result of spiritual activity, they are neither spirit nor perisprime of the soul. Phantom phenomena are considered mainly in 3 groups in experimental neo-spiritualism.

Why do so many people believe in ghosts?
CHAPTER 3
Are the ghosts that are the subject of literature, cinema, philosophy and science real? According to recent research by YouGov in the UK and US, between 30 and 50% of the population believe in ghosts. Why?
Halloween, celebrated every year on October 31, is becoming more common, especially in North American and Western culture. During these celebrations, which have Pagan roots, masquerades and horror film sessions are held, and trips are made to houses believed to be haunted. And in the middle of the celebrations, there are ghosts. But in many cultures around the world, ghosts are also believed, and those who have this belief are not very few.

In his article in the conversation, Science and Technology Editor Stephen Harris draws on the story of the Chaffin family, in which a ghost helps resolve an inheritance dispute, and explains why ghosts are believed with information and examples from the disciplines of literature, philosophy, and anthropology.
We quote some portions of the article:
"James L. Of Monksville, North Carolina He died in an accident in 1921, leaving his home to his favorite son, Marshall. His wife and three other children received nothing. A year later, however, Marshall also died. In this case the house and 480 acres of land were left to Marshall's widow and son.
Four years later, his youngest son, James ‘Pink’ Chaffin, began having unusual dreams when his father visited him and directed him to where there was a second will, which he divided his estate between his widow and his surviving children. The case was moved to court and, as you can imagine, the newspapers of the time went mad for the story.

The court ruled in pink's favor, and the Society for Psychological Research (SPR) concluded that Pink was indeed visited by her father's ghost. Pink also never wavered on this explanation, saying, ‘I am completely convinced that my father's spirit is visiting me to explain a mistake.’”
The author says ghosts and haunting situations are a mainstream area of belief: “according to recent research by YouGov in the UK and US, 30 to 50% of the population believe in ghosts. This belief is also global; in many cultures around the world, there are ghosts of the widely accepted kind.”
The existence of a ghost as a tinsel (disembodied) spirit or as the spirit of a dead person or animal is contrary to the laws of nature as we understand them. So there seems to be something here that requires explanation. We can look at the worlds of literature, philosophy and anthropology for the reasons why people are so willing to believe it.”
