Kashiwa is known for having a fantastic soccer team, Kashiwa Reysol. You can get to Kashiwa in 30 minutes by train from Tokyo and enjoy amazing nature. Kashiwa has a strategic transit point and has developed and flourished as a commercial district.

Kashiwa has green areas with an abundance of water and greenery, and fertile farmland. You can get to green areas in 10 minutes from Kashiwa station by car.

You should go to Michi no Eki Shonan (Roadside Station Shonan) and eat delectable soft cream. This soft cream is made from local vegetables.

Shopping Uralakashi is where you can find many unique and attractive shops.&nbsp;This area is off the beaten path but popular with the locals. You can enjoy&nbsp;antique clothes, sundry shops, cafes and bar.

Nuizaemon is a leather shop which specializes in tanning, skiving, cutting, embossing and designing.

Things to do People learn from each other in “Kashiwa machinaka college”. "Kashiwa Machinaka College" uses cafes or shops as a class room instead of owning a building. Anyone can become a teacher.&nbsp;

You can get not only knowledge but&nbsp;a human network.&nbsp; You can learn about Kashiwa area, find problems of the town, research them, think about solutions, and act.&nbsp;

Gleeful is an old clothes shop and which also has a cafe within the shop. Antique furnitures are used in the shop and we can buy them.&nbsp;

Twice a year, “Hon Mach”books flea market is held at the Urakashi street.

Huckleberry Books is a small book store. There are books especially for children and Young Adult. In this store, innumerable cultural events are held.

You had better eat succulent curry at BOMBAY. People in Kashiwa love it.

You must eat special shaved ice at the Mikaduki Hyouka shop. It is astounding. It goes witout saying, it has the No.1 shaved ice in the world.
