Our Class Tree
Each class a tree which we will observe over the seasons of Autumn, Winter, Spring and Summer. The type of tree we have in Class 3 is a 'Horse Chestnut'. We have been outside and observed how our tree has branches, a trunk and leaves. As the season is now Autumn we know that the leaves are changing colour and beginning to fall off because the weather has become colder and there is not as much sunlight.

Green's greens
The Green dilemma drop told us a story all about food and how some foods are better for us and give us energy. The class then shared their ideas about what food is healthy and which foods are unhealthy.
We talked about how some foods have lots of sugar which is not good for you and some foods like vegetables can be eaten more often.
Keeping Safe and Healthy
We have been learning all about ways to keep healthy, including cleaning our teeth and washing our hands. We watched a short clip from our fabulous NHS which showed us how to wash our hands correctly. We enjoyed learning the handwashing song! Here are some of our answers to the question 'why is it important to wash your hands?'.
