WHAT DO CHRISTIANS BELIEVE IN?
Christians mainly believe in Jesus and his teachings. Jesus taught love and tolerance for their believers. Jesus also taught to people to love everyone even one's enemies.

They believed that there was a life after death. It is believed that Jesus had the ability to heal wounded people, to walk on water and even resurrecting the dead. A small group of followers believed that Jesus was the person who would bring an end to Roman rule. Christians also believed that rich people should be given up and that property should be shared with the poor.

HOW DO CHRISTIANS PRACTICE THEIR BELIEF?
Christians mainly visit churches to practice their belief. Some of the reason why people go to church is that they want to become closer to the god, to become a better person, and to socialize with others who believe in the same religion. In churches, they pray to Jesus and study the Bible. The bible is the sacred book of christianity. The book includes the teachings of Jesus, songs related to christianity, and poets. Christians study the bible or use the bible as a way to practice and remind themselves. Christians also celebrate holidays like easter or christmas.

HOW DID CHRISTIANITY SPREAD IN THE ROMAN EMPIRE?
Paul began to spread Christian ideas to jews. He went through three long, and harsh journeys to spread Christianity. Many poor people in the area favoured the concept of loving god and a life after death. The Romans persecuted these Christians for rejecting the Roman religion. But Paul travelled far and his followers took a huge part in spreading Christianity to Rome.

Peter on the other hand visited cities where gentiles lived and spread the idea of Christianity. They also tried to make the jewish laws less effective so that christianity would take over. Almost 400 years later, it became the official religion of the Roman Empire.
HOW DID CHRISTIANTIY CHANGE THE ROMAN EMPIRE AND WHY WOULD AN EMPEROR USE IT TO GOVERN?
An emperor would use christianity to govern because in Christianity, it's all about preaching love and tolerance to one another. If an emperor makes a law based on love and peace, then people will be more kind and peaceful to each other. Which means less crime will be committed and also means people will be much easier to control for the emperor since they are taking care of each other and the emperor has less problem to deal with. Christianity also changed the Roman Empire since Christianity focused more on peace and love instead of aggressive conquest. Ancient Rome became less aggressive and more peaceful. It also changed the way they believed in god. Rome used to believe in multiple gods but now they focus on one god.
