Julie the Knight in Shining Armor

"Hey Tommy! Can I play with you guys? I really want to be the Knight" asks Julie "You? No Way! A girl can't be a Knight! You can be the maid." Chuckles Tommy All the kids behind Tommy laugh at Julie. Of course she couldn't be a Knight, she's just a girl. How could she save a Princess?

From then on everybody wanted Julie to be the knight of their story. She was the best knight on the playground.

As the kids cheer for Julie she sees Tommy out of the corner of her eye. Solemnly standing at the edge of the playground. "Hey Tommy, come play with us!" Yells Julie "We need a dragon for the next game." Tommy's frown turns into a smile as he runs towards the kids, ready to play the best dragon he could.

Julie sauntered to the bench on the edge of the playground. "I could do anything Tommy could! I could slay a dragon or climb a tower! I would make a magnificent Knight if they would let me." She thought to herself. Sadly she sat down and thought of all the things she could do if she was the Knight in shining armor.

In this story Julie, the knight in shining armor, was saving the Princess from a dragon. She knew exactly what to do. She runs forward using her mighty sword, a stick from a nearby tree, she deflects the dragon's head lunging at her. She quickly runs towards the Princess while the dragon is disoriented and grabs Kasey's, the Princess, hand. She saves the day.

As Julie slumps on the dreaded bench she hears someone call her name "Julie, do you want to come play with us? We need a knight" says Kasey Excitedly Julie runs over to the group of kids.

She could slay the giant. Saving the damsel in distress from the grasp of their hand.

She could climb a great tower. Grasping the vines that are intertwined in the cobblestone. All to save the Princess trapped at the top.

"Class dismissed, you can go out to recess." Says Mr. Barr "Finally!" Julie cheers. She has been waiting for recess all day! Maybe today the kids will let her play with them.

She could save a prince who is trapped under a bridge guarded by a troll. A nasty stubborn troll who won't give up his captured royalty.

Julie runs out to the playground alongside the other kids. As she's running to the swings she spots a group of her classmates playing Princess and the Knight. That's her favorite game! She's always wanted to be the Knight.
