Book Creator Teacher's guide - The Icefjord Centre

For each of the 9 podcasts from the Icefjord Centre, there has been developed four student's books for Book Creator. The student's books are addressed to:

Book Creator&nbsp;is a simple, creative and inclusive way to create content in the classroom. In Book Creator you can work with creative books using pictures, sound, video, drawings and much more. Book Creator exists in two versions:

Youngest level Intermediate level Oldest level High school

as an app on your ipad on the internet either through safari on your ipad or through crome on your computer

The student's books can be retrieved on the Icefjord Centre's website or in a Book Creator library. In this guide we will show you how to fetch and use the material.

The Book Creator app gives you the opportunity of: 👍🏾 Sharing books with Airdrop or Showbie 👍🏾 Working locally on your ipad without internet access. LOGIN Open the app and sign in. DOWNLOAD THE STUDENT'S BOOK Download the template from the website.

OPEN FILES The downloaded files will be archived under files on the ipad.

OPEN THE FILE IN BOOK CREATOR Click on Share Choose Book Creator The student's book will now open as a copy in the book creator app on the ipad. SHARE THE STUDENT'S BOOK WITH THE STUDENTS Click on Share under the book in the app Choose Airdrop Share it with the students The students now each have their own copy of the book to work with.

Give the library a name and choose the settings that suit your preferences.

INVITE THE STUDENTS TO THE LIBRARY

Visit your library Click on invite code

Click on Create library. You now have a library you can share with the students.

The students enter the code. See how to do it on page 8 Now you are all ready to work together in the same library

FETCH AND COPY THE STUDENT'S BOOK

Click on the three horizontal lines in the left corner

You are now ready to enter the code to enter the library.

Book Creators web-version gives you the opportunity of: 👍🏾 Copying books from a library 👍🏾 Working together on a book 👍🏾 The teacher has the opportunity of following the student's work SIGN IN Open Safari on your iPad or Chrome on your computer

Choose the suitable sign in and complete the steps.

You are now ready to work in Book Creator web. With a free account you have access to: ☀️ create a library ☀️ participate unlimited in other's libraries

CODES FOR LIBRARIES You can find all students' books in the Book Creator libraries. You need to use the codes below to find and fetch the Icefjord Centre's books. See how to use the codes on the previous page.

COPY A BOOK When you have found the student's book you want to use you need to copy it. Click on the icon of three books under the book.

Now you have a copy of the student's book. You can now share it with your students. To be able to share it with your students you need to create a library. See how to do this on the next page.
