My New School

My school has a beautiful garden. Here we can plant seeds, search for mini beasts, read stories and even try to see if we can find any fairies in the fairy doors! Our garden has lots of fairy doors!

In school, I will play, draw, dance, sing, read stories and learn lots of new things. It is going to be so much fun!

My classroom will look like this. There will be tables and chairs for me to sit with my new friends, lots of toys and games and all sorts of fun things. I will sit at a table with my group. We call them our pods and my teacher will give each pod it’s own group name.

My new school is called Our Lady of Good Counsel GNS. Most people call it Johnstown.

Everyday, I will hang my coat up here. My teacher calls it the cloakroom. I will keep my lunch bag here too. My teacher will put a label so I know exactly where everything goes.

I am going to be in Junior Infants and my classroom will be just inside one of these doors.

I will play in the yard with my friends at break time. We have lots of fun during yard time. My teacher says there will be two yard times. She calls them big yard and little yard. I will have my lunch after little yard. 

When it is home time, I will put on my coat, get my lunch bag and line up. My teacher will tell me when they see the person collecting me.

In the morning, I will line up here on the green or blue lines with my class. My teacher will meet me here and bring me to my classroom.

My school office has more people that can help me.

There are lots of people in my school that are there to help me.

Ms Breen is the Principal of my school. She makes sure my school is a nice, safe and happy place.

My teachers and SNA will be in school everyday to keep me safe, help me learn and make sure I have fun!

I am going to have a school uniform that is a navy tracksuit with a blue airtex T-shirt.
