Planning Booklet
The idea for this booklet is to provide blended learning for the children who will be spending some of their time learning in school and some of their time learning at home. It will also ensure that the children who are unable to come back to school have access to the same quality of learning as those children in school. This booklet will have all of the resources required for your child’s learning collated in one place. It will include all of the home learning activities from this week and be based around the same theme.

Lesson 1 - Running
Warm up
Stop game - Choose a way to travel around (e.g. skipping, hopping, sidesteps, galloping etc.) When a teacher or adult shouts stop or blows a whistle, you must freeze as fast as you can! First child to stop gets a point. Repeat as many times as you want.
Skills
Technique of running - Shuttle runs - In individual spaces lay out four cones of different colours 5 meters apart in front of you. You must run to the first cone and then back to the start line, continuing this with the second, third and fourth cone and then you can rest. Repeat this 4/5 times and each time talk about the development of your technique.
Skills to look at: Land with tip toes first, lift opposite arm and opposite leg, do smaller, faster steps as they come close to the cone, try and twist body as they touch the cone. Focus on one of these skills each time you do the shuttle runs.
