Old Testament

In the old testament, God wanted people to know His plan of salvation by speaking to His prophets. Old Testament consists of 39 books.

New Testament

Through Jesus Christ, God told people that His plan of salvation has been fulfilled. God also spoke to the chosen people by telling them what words to write. At the end, these words of God became a Bible. New Testament consists of 27 books.

Matthew was a tax collector when he was first called by Jesus to be his disciple. When Jesus called him, he was in Capernaum. He was also known as Levi, Alpheus' son. It was written in Mark 2:1-17. As a tax collector, he took money from Jews for Roman Empire. Before he became the disciple of God, people didn't like him. But, after he became a disciple, God was his priority and he followed Jesus.

Who is Mark?

Mark was a friend of Paul and Barnabas on their missionary journey as it was written in Acts 12:25. He was the author of the book of Mark. Mark describes Jesus as a servant of God. Jesus suffered on the cross, followed God’s will and prioritize other people's need before His own.

Who is Luke?

Luke was a well-trained physician. He wrote his gospel to a Greek-Gentile, named Theophilus. It was written in Acts 1:1-2. He was the author of the books of Luke and Acts. He was not an eyewitness. Therefore, in composing the books, he interviewed those who were with Jesus Christ.

The Book of Luke describes Jesus as a Son of Man.

The Book of John describes Jesus as a Son of God

Jesus showed His humanity, like compassion and kindness for the weak and hurting.

Who is John?

John was one of the Apostle of Jesus. He was the author of the book of John, three letters of John, and the book of Revelation. He was known as the son of Zebedee, a fisherman. There were not any parables in the book of John. The purpose of the book is to make people experience their relationship with God by understanding Jesus’ humanity.

The Book of John describes Jesus as a Son of God

Jesus showed a great relationship of a son and the father as a man and God.
