How has the geography of the West shaped who we are?

Reflection 5: Sundre Museum and Pioneer Village

 I think that it is Human/Cultural because these rocks that were used by indigenous peoples were used for arrow heads to hunt for animals, animals where used for food and the fur was used for selling and surviving the winter

 This is a social change and economic change because the indigenous peoples used arrow heads to kill animals and they used the animal for food and fur. they also sold meat and fur for money

The way the they got food is much different than the way we get food today for example we get are food in a store

Reflection 7: Head-Smashed-In Buffalo Jump World Heritage Site

I think that it is human-environment interaction because they’ve modified the land to suit their need for example they built houses and trails and they invented a very smart way to kill buffalo 

 I think that it is an economical social change because there were ten+ people in the huts at a time and when your that close to someone you become better freinds 

This photo represents First Nation peoples homes in these homes they would gather with up to ten people at a times and I think that that would be pretty hectic and I can relate to that because I live with my two younger siblings and they are pretty hectic

Reflection 8: Takakkaw Falls or Pipe Mountain Coaster

1. I think is human environment interaction because humans built into the mountain a pipe coaster 

2. It brings in a small economical change because it brings in tourist which bring in money

3. My geographical connection is movement because it gives me a fun way to get down the mountain

 I believe that this is movement of people and information because people were using the train to get to new places to explore. I also think its human environment interaction Because humans built the train tracks into the land.

The train tracks bring in tourists and explorers which would bring money and new trading possibilities so thats a political change. 

My geographical connection to the train tracks is movement of information because I move information every day by text and call.

Reflection 6: The Badlands

I think it&apos;s Place/Landscape. Landscape includes plants and diverse terrain and a cactus Is a plant. Also, it can provide resources like food a shelter.

The cactus can survive through all conditions so that makes them a food source because you can also eat them. 

My connection to the cacti is just like humans cactus’s have to adapt to the harsh winters and summers to survive.

Reflection 4: Banff Gondola

I think that this is Human environment interaction, because people took away the trees from the once forested area

By Taking away the trees and selling them would mean getting money that Is a economy change if you use the lumber to build houses or office buildings that would cause a economy change.

 My geographical connection to this photo is that we need wood to build buildings which is important for survival. I have used wood to build many things in the past.

Reflection 3: Cave and Basin National Historic Site

 I think that it is human-environment interaction because the brothers built a hotel into the land

I think that it a economy change because people are coming too this hotel and paying for there rooms. By being at the hotel they can go into town and by more things therefore getting money

My connection to this photo is thinking outside the box which is something that you sometimes have to do to get your answer or solution to a problem.

What is geography

Geography is the study of the physical features of the earth and of human activity as it affects and is affected by these including the distribution of populations and resources, land use, and industries.

Alter creating the comic, we went on a field study to explore the 5 themes and to answer the driving questions. As a keystone, I had to take photos at different landmarks that shows the 5 themes of themes of geography and answers the driving question.

Reflection 2: Golden Skybridge

I believe it is human-environment interaction because before they built the sky bridge nothing was there. A also believe its a movement of people because it gets people to the other side

It brings in tourists from out of the country and then they make money, and thats a economy change.

My geographical connection is movement because without movement we would never explore the world and the golden sky bridge would never be found.
