We hope that this provides you with all the information you need as you prepare to send your student to Hillsdale High School this year.

Families have the option to choose online learning or face to face learning in Phase 4 of the Back to School plan.
Learning
Online option:Distance Learning in Phase 4
In the Distance Learning option, students would work from home using Edgenuity. Distance Learner students would be linked to one of our staff members to unlock tests and quizzes and for any help, but students would work independently otherwise.
Tests and quizzes would be unlocked during regular school hours only. Students will need to check in during the day for attendance and email their supervising teacher daily. Benchmark assessments are to be administered by each district, once in the fall and once in the spring. Students who are online learners will need to participate in these assessments.
Online students will need to use their school logins to complete an Educational Development Plan using Xello. This is a graduation requirement.

Edgenuity, our online courses and curriculum platform, uses an instructional model grounded in research and is aligned to our local requirements,state standards, the Common Core, and the NGSS. It combines direct-instruction videos featuring expert, on-screen teachers with rigorous assignments, performance tasks, and assessments to engage students and ensure subject-area mastery.
Our math and English teachers spent time this summer ensuring that the courses in Edgenuity align with the learning targets they teach.
