My Hard Journey To and Through Ellis Island

after a bit when it was my turn I realized that you could get sent back and that's why people where so nervous and I answered a lot of questions and I got to the next station this time I was so happy because now I know people can get deported you would think I would know this but my mind was blank. This station was called the medical exams

Next was the legal inspections, this station was one of the the most <br/>Important stations so on some of them I had to lie but in that was real life I had to do that to get a better life but most of them I did not lie, I was also very nervous as other people should be. I wish that I had enough money so I was in the 3rd class or second class not because I would have gotten real food but I could just have passed through without any questions asked.

After I got through the back round I went through vocation and I would answer my answers truly but I felt like I was gonna get sent back right there and then I realized why all the immigrants where so nervous and sad. After the first 4 questions got more confident and I was not scared for this station at all.

for me the nickname for this place would be the isle hope but for a few unfortunate people its nickname was the isle of tears, and on the ship I heard someone said that some people got detained and that's why people who did not get detained where so happy.

Once I got there everybody was pretty sad looking but there was this nice guy who welcomed me and he was very nice and did was thinking this is how everybody will be at least I thought.

In the beginning of the journey I did not tell you that I had other family members coming because I got sent with all the money that we had so slowly but surely the rest of my family would come so I stood at the laststation the kissing post it got it's name because this was the place that people could met up so I stood there for a very long time asI said they came.

And that concludes my story of how I got into America

On my first day on the boat there was a storm, and I was getting sick. After that I thought things would go smoothly but it did not I went to get some food but it was horrible and the water was in the same condition. So I just decided to get some water ONLY when necessary and the same with the food but luckily I got here in a few weeks instead of 6 months I also saw The Statue of Liberty and that's why I knew that we were close to Ellis island.
