Has the Emerald Gone Missing?

So then she quietly got off the sofa so no one would hear her and she broke the case with a lock, grabbed the Emerald, and stuffed it in her bag. The alarms started to go off and she ran out of the window. Then both of the classes had to go back to the school because the room was currently under investigation. &nbsp;The museum owner called a detective that was the best in the whole town. His name was Dave Clark. The detective came right away and started to investigate and the police also came. The detective talked with each student from Mrs.Smith's class and Mrs.Jones. Then it was Tommy’s turn to go.&nbsp;

Molly would do anything to steal the emerald. Tommy responded that he didn’t do it.’ He looked very confused and mad because he hates getting blamed for things he didn’t do. It looked like Tommy was about to run out of the museum in anger but he didn’t and controlled it. Grace also interrupted and said he was talking to me the whole time. Mrs. Jones told Molly to stay on the sofa for now while they call her mom.&nbsp;She told her class to go follow along with Mrs. Smith's class and  that she would be back.

They went to her school. Mrs. Jones announced&nbsp;Molly has something to say to all of you guys.&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;Molly started to speak and she said, “I am very sorry to all of you for what I have done and how I treated you. I am very sorry Mrs. Smith and Mrs. Jones. I didn't mean to be sneaky and rude to all of you, it's just that there was something going on at home .My grandpa is very sick and had heart problems and the doctor told him he needs this specific type of medication to prevent him from heart attacks and other heart problems.” &nbsp;Molly had explained her apology and the situation she was going through to the classes and teachers. Both of the classes forgave Molly,&nbsp; &nbsp;At recess, Molly apologized to Tommy for blaming him that he broke her ankle. Tommy was very stubborn at the beginning but he eventually forgave her and they became friends with Grace.&nbsp;The Emerald was safely returned to the Museum.&nbsp;

Molly ran into her grandpa’s home. No one was home because her grandpa was outside of a local market trying to recycle things so he could have money to buy the medicine he needs for his heart conditions .&nbsp;Molly broke the doorknob with her foot and got in to hide. The detective found out where she was hiding from the location. So he and the police went there and when they arrived they knocked on the door.&nbsp; &nbsp;Molly started to freak out and hid upstairs but she forgot the jewel in the living room. The detective grabbed the emerald and told one of the police guards to put it in the case and carefully hold it. The police and detective searched the house then went upstairs to see who stole it. Molly was hidden in her grandpa's closet. The police and the detective split up to search the upstairs room. &nbsp;Molly was right there and the detective asked, “Are you Molly?” She didn’t respond; he asked, again firmly, “Are you, Molly?”

Dave whispered, “look here son did you see anyone take this jewel yesterday or near it.” Tommy nodded.&nbsp; Tommy replied “This girl named Molly from Mrs. Jones's class was near the Emerald the whole time and wouldn’t move. I saw her trying to pick the lock of the case but I just thought I was hallucinating but it was real. But by the time she was picking it the teachers came and then she blamed me that I made her trip on her ankle and got hurt but that was a total lie.” Dave said, “Thank you so much for telling me this info about who I might think it is.”&nbsp; &nbsp;The first one was the case was picked with a lock, it had medium-sized finger prints on it, and it had some pieces of Molly’s hair in it which was brown. Dave asked Mrs. Jones if she had Molly’s parent’s number. She said yes and gave it to him. &nbsp;Molly was running as far as she could, making bad decisions. One thing Molly didn’t know about the jewel is the emerald had a location tracking device that is connected to the museum's system so they could track her down easily. Dave tried calling Molly's parents but no one picked up because her dad is out of state on a business trip and her mom is working at an office.

She stuttered and replied, “Yes.”&nbsp; He said, “You know you are in a lot of trouble, kid.” &nbsp;He first asked her “Why did you steal the emerald?” in a calm voice.&nbsp; She started to tear up and didn't say anything. &nbsp;The detective said calmly, “Why are you crying kid?”&nbsp; Molly started to speak while she was wiping her eyes from the tears coming out.&nbsp; &nbsp;She mumbled, “My grandpa is sick and has heart problems and he needs this expensive medication which the doctor said he needs to stay alive and healthy. But he doesn't have the money and I love him so much and my parents don’t care at all about him so they won’t pay for the medication. My grandpa had done so much for my parents they still don’t care.” Even though Molly was always so sneaky at school and liked to steal things she had a heart and she just never showed it.&nbsp; Molly said, “That’s why I stole the jewel, so I could pawn it for the money for his medication. I know that I committed a serious crime by stealing an expensive emerald but I need to help my grandpa.”&nbsp; &nbsp;Dave remarked, “Kid I am very sorry about your grandpa and his health problems.” &nbsp;Molly begged, “Please I am so sorry for what I have done” She started to cry and started to tear up, ” I didn’t mean to steal it.”&nbsp; &nbsp;He said, “I am so sorry that you have been through that” and added, “everyone makes very big accidents or small ones. Everyone has problems and sometimes they can be serious and I know people will do anything to solve them and I know that's what you were trying to do for your grandpa.” &nbsp;Dave continued, “I am glad you told me the truth and don't lie to me. You know how I know you are not lying to me because you are showing courage that you have messed up really badly but still confessed yourself and told the truth that is what we needed to know.” Dave told the police officer to bring the jewel and Dave looked at it.&nbsp; &nbsp;Molly, “ Yes because I still need to figure a way to get money for my grandpa’s medicine.&nbsp; The detective said, “That one’s on us. We are going to pay for your grandpa’s medication under the police station so you can just go pick it up at your local pharmacy”.&nbsp; Molly started to cry with tears of joy and said to the detective, “Thank you thank you so much for helping my grandpa.”&nbsp; The detective answered, “No thank you for being honest and for grandpa being a strong citizen.” &nbsp;Molly said, “I am still in really big trouble.” &nbsp;The detective said, “No, but you are going to have to apologize to your teachers, classmates, and the museum workers and owner that you had done a very big crime but you had confessed you did it. You are not going to jail or anything.”

Mrs. Smith’s class and Mrs. Jones's class had arrived at the Famous Jewel Museum. The Jewel Museum is the most famous museum in which people are rarely allowed. But Mrs. Smith’s class and Mrs. Jones’s class were very lucky to be able to go there for a field trip. They did have to pay an extra 80$ but the school had provided it. So both of the classes went to the room that had the most expensive, valuable, jewel in the entire museum. It is called the Green Emerald. &nbsp;It was Molly’s and Crystal's turn to look at the Emerald from the case. The Emerald was glowing green like it was calling someone to pick it up. It had a little shimmer of silver on it as it was shining through the sun in the glass case. Crystal was done taking her notes and got out of the line. Molly wouldn't move and just stayed looking at the Emerald. To make an excuse Molly had pretended Tommy had tripped her. She pretended to fall on the floor and said her ankle was broken The teachers asked, “ What happened here? Molly said that Tommy tripped her in the line so she couldn’t see the Emerald.” “That was not true Tommy said I was talking to Grace the whole time.
