We discussed that there is a difference from a real life superhero and one that is from a movie, or story books.
Superman will never help us, but the school nurse who came to give us our flu vaccine would!! So we identified the real life heroes from our list.
Exploring pattern
There are lots of different types of pattern. This week we looked at colour patterns and used the areas in the classroom to develop our own patterns!
To stay safe....
listen to your adult
wear gloves
stay away from the fire or fireworks
Hi, I am Guy Fawkes and me and my friends failed to blow up the palace of Westminster.
You celebrate this on Bonfire night
Speech Bubble
We investigated the history of Bonfire night and why we celebrate with bonfires and fire works! We discussed how to stay safe and Miss Sim suggested we put our sparklers into a carrot!!
A Vet
We decided that vets are heroes as they look after sick or injured animals, they can be pets or even wild animals! Big or small a vet is the animals hero!! We helped Mrs Wolfarth sound out the words using our developing phonics skills, so the words are phonically plausible.
cat
rabbit

Triangle;
We have begun our investigation into shapes. We have began by looking carefully at 2D shapes, describing how they look, using, pointy, curves, round sides to explain what we see.

Using a 2D shape we looked around the classroom environment for identifying similar shapes on objects.
