What on earth is renewable energy?!
Renewable energy is energy that does not run out.

There are several forms of renewable energy. Solar energy, wind energy, hydroelectric energy, geothermal energy, and biomass energy are all types of renewable energy.

Solar energy is energy from the sun.

Geothermal energy is energy from heat within the earth.
Biomass energy is energy from the burning of natural chemicals from plants or animals.
Note: not all renewable energy is non-polluting energy; biomass is a case in point. But most are.

in the solar panel, there are special cells called photovoltaic, or PV, cells. in response to light, they release electrical charges that move through an internal electric field, causing a flowing electric current. Wherever there is light, the solar panel can generate electricity. The amount depends on the intensity of the light and the number of cells.

wind energy is very simple. the wind pushes the turbine blades, making them spin. the blades are connected to a generator, which transforms a turning motion, which is kinetic energy, into electricity using magnets. it's basically the opposite of how an electric motor transforms an electric current into kinetic energy.
