The Canary Islands, a Spanish archipelago off the coast of northwestern Africa, are rugged volcanic isles known for their black- and white-sand beaches.

Miles of beaches on the island of Fuerteventura are almost empty, and even most of those with well-developed tourist infrastructures are uncrowded. The north-eastern beaches are often quite windy, and the surf on its northern beaches is quite heavy - to the delight of surfers, who find some of Europe's finest waves here.

The Wild Atlantic Way. The Wild Atlantic Way is a touristic route which attracts thousands from around the world every year for its natural beauty. The route starts on the Inishowen peninsula in County Donegal and ends in Kinsale.

The Burren in Co.Clare is a very attractive tourist site that thousands of people from Ireland and around the world come to visit. It is home to the rarest flowers and plants. The entire place is made of limestone rock.

TY students got their first trip out to Airtastic in Little Island they got to play bowling and got to jump with the inflatables and the obstacles courses.

Advice: Queen of Swords There might be an older woman who will guide you in your life and protect you, you will receive very helpful advice from them. It may also represent open-mindedness or self-reliance. In conclusion, don’t be stressed out by what might come over to you, open your minds towards new things and it will be fine! You will eventually be released from your pain. Please talk to someone you trust if you have any worries, it will be helpful to release your emotions and stress.

- After The Aquapark, we had archery. We had so much fun on that day that we are all tired at the end of the day on the bus heading home.

Meitheal team 2022-2023 training in Scala&nbsp; This year, The Meitheal team went to Scala to do training to be a part of a team. In the team we have 10 people and 10 different personalities learning to work using each others skills and learning how to work with this years 1st years&nbsp;

How did you feel about Meitheal team so far? I found this a great experience. I enjoyed planning and organising events for the first years and the school. I also love organising, so this role was right up my alley. Best memory of Meitheal Team currently? Mine would be the Chairperson and Secretary meeting in Scala. I enjoyed meeting other people because I'm a sociable person and they all had similar interests. Challenging part of being they secretary? For me it's been mostly enjoyable learning experiences but i learned how to manage my time. Any tips for next year Meitheal Team? Just be yourself and learn to work together as a team and have fun!

Q: What is the most creative excuse for no homework/lateness etc?

Q: How did you start with Tiktok?

A: I wanted to annoy my students in the UK. We went into lockdown, and 20% of students across the board were doing work on Google Classroom but they lived on Tiktok. So I’ve decided to go where my students are spending their time and post something about school there.

A: The best excuse for homework would be: “I forgot to do it ‘cause I was binge watching your Tiktok all night.”

Q: How would you use Tiktok to influence everyone?

Q: Since it’s summer time and another year of education is over, do you want to say anything for the students of CCS?

A: I mostly use it to just remind people what school life is like, and all the things that we noticed that happened. And I also do live science lessons on Tiktok to help students who feel they need help. And every so often I also give out life tips for young men who need a male role model in life. 

A: For the 6th year that is ending school, you have endless opportunities ahead of you, and you’ve a chance to become the person you really want to be for everyone else. And for everyone else, enjoy the summer and enjoy being a kid, go outside, meet your friends and enjoy your life!

Describe the Meitheal team in one word and why? Disorganised because we always want to get things done but we never do- Covid was a huge obstacle. What do you do in the Meitheal Team? We organise things for the first years. What were your/ the team's goal this year for the Meitheal team? To work as a team, to strengthen they community spirits in the school and working with the first years.&nbsp; Describe a funny moments when you are in the Meitheal team &nbsp;When Abbie talks non stop about her boyfriend. A: I'll be watching Waterford win the All-Ireland Hurling Final in July and then heading to France for a few weeks after that.

A: A family trip to Paris and a week in Crete were both special holidays.

5 Places To Visit In Ireland During The Summer

- In the afternoon we were introduced to the most exciting part of our day --- The Aquapark! We changed into our wetsuits and lifejackets (Note: Always wear a life jacket for your own safety!)

- There were huge inflatable water obstacles and all of us had so much fun on them. Falling into water can be terrifying but being able to float up and scream out your lungs is really fun though. (?)

The biggest tourist town on Lanzarote is the lively Puerto del Carmen, surrounded by more than six kilometres of sandy beaches with calm waters. The old fishing village has been transformed into a bustling vacation destination with a wide selection of hotels and restaurants, but for all its tourist amenities, it has not lost the feel of a real Canarian town.

La Gomera rises so steeply from the Atlantic that it is impractical to build a road around its coast. Crowning the top half of the island is the world's largest pre-glacial forest, protected as Garajonay National Park, and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Seventy percent of the 9,325-acre park is covered by a dense laurel forest, similar to those covering Europe in the Tertiary Period.

Dolphin and Whale Watching in Tenerife:

The Atlantic sea off Tenerife is known for its whales and dolphins, and a whale watching cruise is one of the island's favourite things to do for families. You can spot whales and watch pods of dolphins cavort – as many as five different species – on boat excursions from various harbours. Many cruises include a stop at a secluded bay for swimming or snorkelling.

One of the most popular things to do on Lanzarote is to explore the seven-kilometre-long volcanic tube that extends from La Coruna mountain to the sea. These tubes were formed when the surface of a lava flow cooled and hardened while the molten river of lava still flowed beneath it. When the subterranean lava emptied into the ocean, it left the hollow tube deep underground.

Achill Island in Co.Mayo is an island that is connected to the mainland and is very easy to reach, the beach is unbelievable and the ocean is crystal blue, the best beach to visit this summer.

Favourite thing to do in summer? Going to the park, eating ice-cream and hanging out with friends Favourite memory in school? My favourite memory so far is helping out with the games club with the 4th years . Where do you want to go on holidays this year? Spain or Italy is where I would like to go because they are both really hot and sunny. Favourite teacher? My favourite teacher is my French teacher Ms. Brown because we get on really well!

- As a part of our TY trips we went to Ballyhass Mallow on the 10th of May. It took us around roughly 1 hour and a bit more to get there. Soon we were introduced to our instructors for the day, they were so interesting to talk with and they were really nice to us. For the morning we did many outdoor activities such as climbing, abseiling, ziplining, high ropes and more.

Kinsale, this is a village in Cork with, in my opinion, the best views in Cork of the harbour and other sites. In Kinsale there are many fast food restaurants like Dinos. Many people love to sit water side and watch the magnificent boats sailing through the harbour. There are finally many ice cream parlours, coffee shops and shops to have a look at during a sunny day. 

The Aran Islands are islands that are found on Galway Bay. They are the most famous islands in Ireland and are visited by thousands during the summer time.&nbsp;

Q: What are your top tips to keep healthy?

A: "The best exercise is the one you will do"

Q: In your free time, what kind of sport do you do?

A: Exercise everyday even if its just a walk, limit junk food up to 1-2 days a week and never eat after 8pm.

Q: What is your favourite sport and why?

A: Golf because you get to play against yourself.

A: Soccer because I feel confident in that sport.

Favourite thing to do in summer? My favourite thing to do in summer is to teach sailing! I work in a watersport activity center. Favourite Memory in school? Going to Fota with my biology class! The cheetah cubs were soooo cute!!!!! Favourite subject in school? Chemistry, it is really interesting and I love doing experiments. Favourite summer experiences? my favourite summer holiday is to go scuba diving in an under water museum its was enjoying and I loved it

Nature Reserve of Lobos, near Fuerteventura.

Easily one of the most beautiful places to visit in the Canary Islands is the islet of Lobos located about 2km off the coast of the main island. The reserve itself is home to valuable specimens of plant and animal species that are protected and in magnificent condition. It’s a popular tourist day-trip destination and there are regular departures from Corralejo harbour during daylight hours. To protect the area from human intervention there are specific trails for visitors to follow but it is possible to request permission to camp in the reserve overnight but whether you stay for an hour or a night, make sure to take a dip in the sheltered lagoon – Playa de la Concha.

The third highest volcano in the world at 3,718 metres in altitude, Teide towers above the small island of Tenerife, the best known of the Canary Islands. Teide National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, includes the entire mountain, and a trip inside the immense crater is a highlight of a trip to the Canary Islands.

Mr.Cahill enjoys reading newspapers while flying in an aeroplane to a luxurious resort in Barcelona. There he reads about the political issues with the country.

Mr.Crowley loves to sit out and relax in the sun on his luxurious golden sun lounge. He lies down, eyes closed with his €10,000 rainbow visor sunglasses, chilling with a cold glass of champagne which is served to him by his minimum wage servants.

We have to start off with a banger, Mr. Manning loves to think about what topics he will teach about when he gets back into the classroom. He learns off the answers to the questions to make quite the impression on the new students. Best second name for a teacher, hands down!!!!!!

Mr.O’Sullivan enjoys spending time at the beach, however no ordinary beach, he likes to go swimming with sharks and scuba diving in Spain every year.

I always want to be an entrepreneur so when the opportunity came to to take on doing Transition year hoodies .I got Lisha to help me because I didn't know if we could pull it off .I asked the principal&nbsp;for his permission to get the go ahead and then after the Easter break we got to work I got in contact with a company with would do it . We did a servery&nbsp;after I came back from Meitheal and the same day we printed out the the order forms and the deadline was Friday 6th of may and we got the orders in .I wish for them to be in in time for graduation to hand them out but it may not be the case but I got them in on 17th of may we got the hoodies in and people loved them

Me and Molly worked together on our 'Mini' enterprising 'project', we organised our very own transition year hoodie for everyone. At the end we've made over €1,000 all together! We gathered names of people in our year, started a survey to see what is current 4th year's taste of clothing and decide which colour we will go with. Make out order sheet for people and take in the order. And hopefully they will come in on our graduation day and we can wear them.

One of the most popular tourist attractions for families in the Canary Islands is this wildlife park just outside of Puerto de la Cruz. Combining high standards of conservation with good entertainment, the park has one of the world's largest collections of parrots, a large dolphinarium, and an immense aquarium with an underwater tunnel where you can walk as sharks and other sea creatures swim overhead.

A world away from the packed holiday resorts, this playa is completely unspoilt and almost always empty. &nbsp;Hidden away under the Grand Ravine on the west coast of the island, it is quite a trek to get there (about two hours from the nearest town) so only the most determined beachgoers reach its pristine sands. &nbsp;There are no facilities available on the beach itself but it’s still popular with campers.

Ms. Mulvihill&nbsp; pays a visit to the great land of the Ghaeltacht where she spends her time teaching Irish while making the kids learn about the various major cities and their natural disasters. All while speaking Irish.&nbsp;

History class because we were learning about Hitler

What was your favourite part of Meitheal this year? The Christmas quiz this year, because there's a lot of fun things to do and a lot of things to organise. What's the best part about being the Chairperson? Learning to delegate work among the team and my own leadership skills have improved. Why did you join the Meitheal team? Well….. Mainly because the Meitheal team before us looked really cool and exciting. Another reason is because I wanted to improve my teamwork skills and meet new people.&nbsp; What are the difficult parts about being Chairperson? When it's hard to keep the team focused because we are struggling to come up with ideas in the pandemic. At the start it's hard to delegate work. Any advice for next year's Meitheal team? I would advise that the team would hear everyone's opinions as much as possible because sometimes two or three people can be doing all they talking.

The TY got to do a prom this year with the theme James Bond and we had gotten a photographer to take some really cool photos

All the girls got really dressed up when all out  and the boys kind of  came in a causal wear and some came in suits
