Just a reminder.... If your child is not going to be in school, it is very important that you let the school know as soon as possible. If you do not contact the school then your child's absence will be logged as unauthorised. Unauthorised absence can lead to legal proceedings being taken against you for non-attendance, therefore it is really important that you contact school to make them aware of reasons for absence.&nbsp;&nbsp;

The Nursery children have been learning about 'People Who Help Us'. We have been thinking about the characteristics of these special people and what makes someone a hero. We have enjoyed visits from real-life superheroes and we have had a Superhero Day to celebrate our learning.

Can you remember the children in EYFS raised over £300 for new resources in their classrooms? Well, because of your kind support the Reception class were delighted to start using their new Toniebox, which we bought with our fundraising money. The story box brings to life stories, rhymes and songs. What a great way to develop listening and language skills! Thank you again for your donations.

Congratulations to the pupils in Reception class who completed their half term reading challenge (reading at least 5 times last week!!)- you recieved certificates to celebrate your achievements. Prizes where also collected (by these pupils and others) for completing a phonics booklet and playing numbots. Well done, keep up the great work

Reception class visited Forest School to learn about why we celebrate Bonfire Night, how to make a fire, toast marshmallows, warm hot chocolate and safely use sparklers!

Tapestry is an easy-to-use and secure online learning journal that helps staff and families across Aspire academies celebrate their children’s learning and development in Nursery and Reception Class. As parents, the first day of handing over your child to the care of another can be an emotional time. As your child adjusts to experiences without you at their childminder, nursery, or school, parents continue to want to share in these times. Tapestry facilitates this by enabling a personal journal, or diary, to build over time. Photographs, videos and notes of special moments are not only recorded, but can be made available regularly and often immediately to you via your iPhone or Android App.

Year 2 went on a very exciting trip, to Cornwall Energy Recovery Centre! In science we have been learning about 'Everyday materials', so we used this opportunity to learn more about the recycling process and where waste materials go. It was fascinating to see the control room and learn so many interesting facts

Google Classroom - Enhancing connections with learners from school, from home, or on the go.

Think of Google Classroom as your child’s digital link to learning. Teachers use Google Classroom to share resources, links and assignments with pupils during lessons at school across the curriculum. KS2 teachers will use Google Classroom to share homework with students and parents. It is a great tool for keeping up to date with your child’s learning.
