Just a reminder.... If your child is not going to be in school, it is very important that you let the school know as soon as possible. If you do not contact the school then your child's absence will be logged as unauthorised. Unauthorised absence can lead to legal proceedings being taken against you for non-attendance, therefore it is really important that you contact school to make them aware of reasons for absence.&nbsp;&nbsp;

Year 6 have started their final abstract pieces on canvases. They showcased their colour mixing and blending skills to create the base layer.

To celebrate 'Science Week' our whole school had a science day! All of the children from Reception to Year 6 were put into mixed groups and they rotated around the school to take part in a variety of different experiments. Our experiments covered the three branches of science: chemistry, physics and biology. We also learnt about three important scientists from the three areas. All of the children had a fantastic day and learnt so much. What was your child's favourite part?

Tapestry is an easy-to-use and secure online learning journal that helps staff and families across Aspire academies celebrate their children’s learning and development in Nursery and Reception Class. As parents, the first day of handing over your child to the care of another can be an emotional time. As your child adjusts to experiences without you at their childminder, nursery, or school, parents continue to want to share in these times. Tapestry facilitates this by enabling a personal journal, or diary, to build over time. Photographs, videos and notes of special moments are not only recorded, but can be made available regularly and often immediately to you via your iPhone or Android App.

Year 2 had the amazing opportunity to go to the Hall for Cornwall to experience the live theatre show of "The Gruffalo's Child"

Inspired by Micheal Rosen’s story ‘We’re going on a Bear Hunt’, Reception class have been on an adventure! We went on a chair hunt! The class followed clues along the clay trails in search of a chair created by previous students. We had to walk over mile going under trees (stumble trip!), through puddles (splish splosh!), past stables (neigh neigh!), around a lake (stomp stomp!), over a stream (trickle trickle) and along a muddy (squelch squerch) path to find the hidden chair. What great effort, resilience and perseverance!

Year 2 explored our woodland areas this week and used investigative skills to work out which of our woodland animal friends had eaten through and discarded last year's hazelnut shells.

Throwback to World Book Day; Year 6 and Nursery enjoyed sharing stories together!

Google Classroom - Enhancing connections with learners from school, from home, or on the go.

Think of Google Classroom as your child’s digital link to learning. Teachers use Google Classroom to share resources, links and assignments with pupils during lessons at school across the curriculum. KS2 teachers will use Google Classroom to share homework with students and parents. It is a great tool for keeping up to date with your child’s learning.

This week the Year 1 children have been learning to measure accurately in maths. They started measuring objects using cubes and then progressed onto using rulers.
