Dear Erasmus, Today we visited Cracow, the second capital of Poland. In the morning we went to Collegium Maius, the oldest part of Jagiellonian University. This is the place where Copernicus studied and you can now see the tools, that he used in his astronomy observations.

Dear Erasmus, The first day of our Erasmus was really good. Waiting for the Turkish team to arrive, Team Romania and Team Italy went to the Silesian University of Technology flight simulator. When all teams came to ALO, we started with degustation of national food from our countries. After everybody tried some food, we had presentations of our countries and our schools. During the break, we had lunch at the university canteen. After the lunch, the Turkish Team went to school for a tour. In the afternoon we wanted to go for a trip but the weather wasn't favorable so we had to cancel it. So this was our first day. We enjoyed it a lot. Our favorite thing in this day was the variety of food from different countries and cultures.

Dear Erasmus, On Wednesday we visted a planetarium in Chorzów, another city located in Silesia. Early, at 8:00 we departed from Gliwice. Before visiting an astronomy exhibition we had time to talk and exchange some interesting facts about our cultures, for example, our national dances. The exhibition was very interesting and modern. We learned about some physics in astronomy i.e. photons. Also we found out how powerful (and how expansive) are modern telescopes.

Dear Erasmus, Yesterday we were on a trip to MOA ( The Youth Astronomical Observatory) in Niepołomice. Our program was full of astronomical activities. We did some sun observations, we had a short break, and after that we listened to a lecture about meteorites. Then we went for lunch and visited "Small Wawel" (the Polish King's summer residence). Before the next part of workshops we visited park next to the observatory, and saw a model of the Solar System. Before dinner, we we made some moon puzzles and went to the planetarium. When we got back, the night sky observation started. On 8:30 pm we departured to Gliwice. The Polish teacher had a surprise for us, We visited a radio station. This day was really interesting. We enjoyed the activities especially the Moon observation and the mirrors in park :)

The final part of the trip were two lectures in the greatest planetarium dome in Poland, it was mainly about constellations and planets. We watched a 360degree movie entitled Explore, which was about the history of astronomical breakthroughs.

In the afternoon, Turkish and Romanian team went for a tour in Gliwice. They visited  historical buildings near the city center . After that we saw the oldest church in Gliwice. In the evening we had some shopping time in Forum mall.

Dear Erasmus, This is the last day of our mobility. We met at school in the morning in order to sum up what we did and to get our cetificates.

Next thing that we were visiting was the royal castle called Wawel. In the castle we saw the arcaded courtyard and the beautiful architecture of the castle cathedral. Next thing that we saw below the castle, was the dragon's cave connected with the old legend. Our favorite  piece was the sculpture represeting the dragon, which was spitting fire.

Later on, after visiting the castle we went to the old city square to see the Market Square. Here we saw the Marian Church and the Sukiennice, but unfortunately we didn't see that places inside. We really loved Cracow , its university connected with Copernicus, the old architecture and the time we spent together.

We were working in five teams and each had four to six members from different countries. After that we presented our diares on the closing ceremony. Afteer that, Romanian team left Gliwice. The Turkish team spent time on sightseeing the campus of Silesian University of Technology. Then they try to navigate the plane in the flight simulator. 

We really liked the visit in Gliwice. This adventure was a new expierence for us. We visited few museums and historical places. We think they were very beautiful. Personally we think that the best thing in this place was people. We made a lot of new friends and had fun.
