Guide to MimioPro 4 Interactive Display

The sidebar panel is located on the left and right side of the panel. The sidebar gives you access to all the tools and apps available to use on the panel.

After connecting your Google Drive, import images and pdfs into Note to mark them up. In the video, images and pdfs are imported from the board's Finder. To import from your Google Drive, click "Import, "JPG or PDF" then "Cloud" and the file you wish to import.

ProColor: High School STEM Lesson

Multiple students write their math problems on the board at the same time. Mimios can handle up to 20 touches at once.

Here are the basic steps you should follow to get started: 1. Press the power button to turn your panel on. 2. Plug the HDMI cable into the left side of the panel in the HDMI 1 or HDMI 2 slot. 3. Plug the HDMI cable into your laptop. This will allow you to display your laptop screen onto the panel. 4. Plug the USB touch cable (pentagon-shaped end) into the left side of the panel in the Touch 1 or Touch 2 slot. 5. Plug the other end (USB) into your laptop. This will allow you to use the touch feature to control your laptop from the panel. 6. Your laptop should display automatically. If it does not, swipe up from the bottom of the panel's screen and select the input your HDMI is connected to (1 or 2).

Simple, but useful: Sign into your Google Drive on the panel and project your slides for the day.

Annotate a website, pdf, Google Slide by using the yellow pen tool on the side toolbar. Want to save? Click the save icon and it will save to your finder.

You can connect additional hardware straight to your MimioPro 4. Some examples might be: Wired/Wireless Keyboard Wire/Wireless Mouse Webcam Microscope

You can also use an external USB device plugged directly into the panel. This can be plugged into the front or side of the panel in any USB port. Once the device is connected, it will appear as a storage option in your Finder.

The home screen of the panel is your home base. There are many things you can do with your MimioPro 4 without the need for any sort of computer connection!

Open the CleverShare app on your desktop and enter the code from the panel

Select Screen Share to mirror screen to panel and Desktop Sync to mirror the panel on your screen

You can connect a Doc Cam and other external devices directly into your Mimio panel using HDMI, VGA, and USB.

Connect the device to one of the inputs and then change that input through the settings on the panel. Available inputs will be displayed with a blue dot below them on the Input menu. Click to select. If you do not see one of your devices as available, ensure it is plugged in to the panel and turned on.

Just as you save files on your laptops, desktops or on a phone, you can save files directly to the panel through the Finder. Organize your files with folders, and use a naming system to keep you panel's folders and files easy to access for lesson and content delivery in the classroom. Try organizing your files by Units, Lessons, or Grading Periods.

Split Screen

You may want to split the screen in order to show a video or picture on one side and take notes on another side. Or compare two different images, sites, or documents.

User Profiles

Using user profiles allows you to create different users based on how they want to use the panel.  In User profiles, you can also set a password for each user.

Connecting to your Google Drive gives you access to files, pictures, and more so you can use them without your computer being connected. Connecting your Drive gives you up-to-date access to all your files.

The live apps shows what apps are open. Once you open, you can also use the split screen function. If the split screen does not appear, that app doesn't support the function.

Opera Browser

Opera allows users to search the internet, set bookmarks, and use applications from the web. Users can log into Google Drive from the browser by going to drive.google.com. Users can also set a speed dial on the home page of the Opera browser to access frequently visited sites.

Play a YouTube video and pause to annotate, take notes, etc.

The panel Settings menu allows you to make changes to things like touch sounds, system volume, WiFi, PIN access to screen sharing and other preferences.

Students create their own math problems, then project their screen onto the panel using Unplug'd or CleverShare. Another student can project their solution and explain using the pen tool.
