Hi my name is Andrew and these are my favourite school memories. My favourite school tour ever was Baysports. We went to the waterpark first so most of us were so cold and didn't go on the slides but we still had so much fun doing the other activities. My favourite subject in school was P.E because I really like doing sports, I loved it when we played football on the field.&nbsp; On my first day of school I didn't know anyone but by now most of us have been in the same class for eight years and I made many friends. I remember when me, Alex, John, Noah, Josh and Cristian beat the score on BopIt and we got a score of 155 and we were all so happy. I also remember when Ion was trying to staple something and accidentally stapled his finger and everyone was laughing. In fifth class we used to always go to the library on the mats and used to play a game called mafia but we got caught a lot for talking and we used to always get in trouble. Overall I had a very good time in primary school. I'm sad to leave my friends but I'm also happy to start secondary school and meet new people.

&nbsp;If I look back I remember my first day in junior infants being really nervous and worried that I might not make friends. I was also getting used to being in a new environment but luckily with the help of my friends I realized there really was no point in being worried as school was more fun than I thought. I also remember in my old school when my friends and I would lie down and stare at the sun while making&nbsp;jokes&nbsp;during summer, playing really fun games and thinking of crazy ideas to do when bored. We were also always thinking of what secondary schools we were going to. When I first came to Old borough, I was very shy and still am but I have gotten used to this school and have made friends that are fun and cool in their own way. The funniest thing that&nbsp;happened in school was when Andrea fell while trying not to get caught when she was playing tag. Some of my best memories in primary school were school tours like when I went to the W5 museum in Belfast. It was a really cool experience with lots of fun things to do, baking cookies with Ms.&nbsp;Gibbons, dressing up as a character in a book for world book day and&nbsp;Halloween or trick or treating, cake sale, playing with my friends, learning the cup song and a lot more. There are a lot of memories I have made in primary for the past eight years that I will never forget. I could even write a book. I hope in secondary I will&nbsp;find amazing friends like now and make&nbsp;good and fun memories.&nbsp;

I’m Andrea and I have loved the time I’ve had in the Old Borough school because we have made so many great memories together. I have met many great people that are now my close friends. I remember the time when I first came into this school in junior infants. I was very shy and nervous. I didn't want to talk to anyone. My favourite moment was when we all had ice cream from the ice cream van and when we had the kite day. The funniest memory was when we all pranked Ms. McCarthy by pretending Emma ran away but she was in the bathroom the whole time and when John hit my elbow when I was drinking Actimel and I spilled it all over myself and the table. We started off with so many people in our class. We had the most in the school I'm pretty sure, but then so many people started to come and go and now surprisingly we are left with eleven people. We all get along and it's really fun. I can't get over the time when we all went to the bog and got all dirty head to toe. Another fun thing that happened was when we went on the best school tour to Baysports. Some of us went on the biggest inflatable waterslide in the world, but some didn't. Overall, I wish my class the best of luck in secondary school.

I like The Old Borough because I have a lot of memories with my friends. My best memory is going on school tours and having fun. The funniest thing that happened&nbsp;in school was when I fell and I couldn’t get up. I remember the day when we had hotdog day, it was probably the best day of school. We also had ice cream day every year which was really as good as the hotdog days. Once a year we would have a class party and we could decide if it should be a pizza party or ice cream party and we would always choose to have an ice cream one. I'll miss that about primary school. I love The Old Borough School very much because I met a lot of people and teachers throughout the years. I remember I was very scared starting junior infants and didn't know what would happen to me in this school, but I shouldn't have worried at that time, everything went perfectly fine. I met a few friends to share all of these school years with! I also had amazing teachers. I loved all of the fun days when we got to do barbecue day, ice cream day, movie parties, pizza parties and ice cream parties. We did P.E as well which I enjoyed myself. We had different coaches sometimes to try out some new kinds of sports with the class. I also remember going on school tours! They were the best thing we do every year in summer. If I can remember we went to the bog before, Baysports, Crystal Maze, farms and more. We also did baking as well which was fun because we got to you eat what we made, we used simple recipes, nothing too complicated because younger classes do exactly the same so they wouldn't get confused or it wouldn't be too messy. The Old Borough was an amazing school and I had lots of fun and great laughs and memories. The best thing about school was always the school trips, ice cream day, hot dog day and when the ice cream van came to school.&nbsp; Before I started school I was very shy, but when I found such great friends I knew this was going to be great. Throughout the years I had such a great friendship with all the girls. When we started to get on with the boys, we found out that one of them was so funny (John). He just cracked us up all the time and always had a smile on his face and made us smile.&nbsp; The things I'm going to miss about school are my friends, the teacher, the school trips and lots more. I will never forget the day when I met Valeria&nbsp;and Michelle and when we did fun art and baking. The funniest thing in school was when I fell asleep and then someone woke me up and then I fell off my chair or when we did a massive prank on Ms. McCarthy. The best school tour was definitely Baysports. It was amazing. It was like all slides and obstacles on water and way more. Wishing the best of luck in 1st year! Well class of 2021, your time in the Old Borough N.S. has come to an end. You all came into this school as strangers, but you are leaving as friends. After 8 years here, well most of you, you may be glad to go or you may be excited to start this new adventure but I will certainly miss you all. Although the past 2 years have been unlike any other, they have been amazing. You were faced with 2 lockdowns, but you came out the other side and got straight back into learning, having fun and making memories with your classmates. You weren't afraid of some challenges and I could always count on you to give some of my crazy lesson ideas a go like Irish fashion shows, TikTok dances, egg drops, balancing on toilet roll tables and drama skits to name a few . We have had some good days together, you made me laugh every day and for that I want to thank you. It has been my absolute pleasure teaching you all and seeing you develop your skills, characters and confidence, even if you did try to 'prank' me every now and then. I am so proud of the young adults you have all become.&nbsp;I wish you all the very best of luck in this new and exciting chapter of your lives, make the most of it. I say this to all my 6th classes, don't forget to visit. I love hearing how everyone is getting on, so don't be strangers. On a final note, I want to remind you to always be yourselves, you are perfect just the way you are, and don't let anyone tell you otherwise. One of the best school memories was when we went to Baysports. Doing STEM projects was also fun and ice cream and BBQ days were great. The day we went to the field to fly the kites was a day I will never forget as Zoey got hit in the head by my kite. Class parties and school parties were great. Another highlight was when we got our school jumpers it was so amazing as we no longer had to wear our scratchy, faded blue jumpers. Some of the funniest moments were when we made mini bow and arrows with lollipop sticks and toothpicks. Another hilarious thing was when John went head first into the bonnet of Ms. Woods car when we had a spinning race at break... although I am not sure Ms. Woods knows about this incident. &nbsp;

I remember on the first day of school watching all my other classmates walking in, clinging to their parents hands asking for them not to leave, I was not one of those children. I was so excited to go into school. I just wanted to impress my teachers and do well. I was looking to make new friends which indeed did happen. By far the most daunting thing of school was going into third class I remember being told that the work was so difficult and that they had Irish spellings which terrified me. Then of course when I went into third class it was nothing like I imagined. it was so fun, although the Irish spellings, as I had expected, were a fairly difficult challenge. By far the best school tour was when we went to Hudson Bay. I remember trying to wriggle into my damp wet suit and all the squeals coming from my classmates as we wadded into the cold, crisp water. I remember watching my classmates slipping and sliding all over the place on the rubber like platforms that connected to a lot of the other attractions. I remember&nbsp;watching them go flying off the end of multiple slides and hitting the surface of the water with a slap and quickly sinking downwards before bopping back up to the surface, a look of relief and shock on their faces. One of the funniest memories I have of that school tour was when I went to go to have my turn on the Tarzan style rope swing when I saw John bobbing up and down in the water hanging onto his life jacket although in no danger at all. I think the buddy system failed there, as he had been abandoned by Zoe. I helped him back onto the platform that connected the slides, which was not an easy thing to do, although what was harder was keeping a straight face while doing it. The incident was just too funny not to laugh. BizWorld was also really great fun. It was amazing to see what we could come up with if we put our heads together. All of the presentations were great! The one I remember the most is Vlada’s team who created their own winter clothing line! My group and I created our own line of pet products including dog shampoo and bundle care packages. But the most fun was presenting our ideas. Ms. McCarthy even got her dad in as one of the sharks! I’m still a bit skeptical on him owning a helicopter though! Haha! I look back on my school work as well and realise how far I have come with my school work, as well as my imagination! On a final note I just want to say how fun it’s been looking back and remembering all the things we’ve done as a class.

My first day of school I had a tummy bug and couldn’t come into school until 10 o’clock. I remember the teacher reading a book about three owls and I was sitting in the back of the classroom. I remember being dropped off at the train station for our first school tour. We went on a train and then we watched a play about puppets and I was terrified. My favorite day of my entire time at school was the time we went to Baysports. That was so much fun. I enjoyed it a lot. We went to the lake, paddle boarding and on the inflatable water slides were fun, especially the wipeout course.&nbsp; My funniest memory was the time that I face planted straight into a car. We were playing a game in which you were spun around and then you had to run straight ahead. Obviously I didn’t follow those rules that time. Another funny memory was when it was barbecue day and I poured a glass of water over Alex’s head. My favorite joke that I made was the time when we were doing geography and we were&nbsp;learning about rocks and the Ms. McCarthy asked if we could name any rocks and I said "Yeah, Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson". My favorite piece of art was the Halloween haunted house and I drew a Luigi in the house and it is my favorite piece of art that I made in school. My favorite time in resource class was when we made cookies and did other baking activities. Best of luck Class of 21!

Hello my name is Alex and my best school days were as follows. On my first day of school I didn’t know what I was meant to do and I was scared. The school was so much bigger than my play school. Later on that day I made&nbsp;friends with my classmates. My best school tour memories were when we went to Athlone and we did&nbsp;really fun activities. One of the activities that we did was like a bouncy castle on water and it was so much fun, there were slides as well. One of the other things we did was stand up paddle boarding. That was really good, then after that we had to make a fire. Once we made a fire&nbsp;we got to roast marshmallows, but I sadly don’t like marshmallows.&nbsp; My favourite subject in primary school was P.E. Some of my favourite P.E. activities were cycling, hockey and football. In school there were a couple of times I thought I was going to crash into something while I was cycling but fortunately I didn’t crash. It was really fun and I learned a lot about how to cycle a bike properly and safely. Hockey was another P.E activity we did in school. I really liked the coach Mukhtar, he was really good at hockey and really fun and I found that hockey is a really good sport. Another school memory was a BBQ day. Everyone had finished their food and I was just walking around the school yard when John came behind me with a cup of water and splashed almost all the water on me. I was soaked but it made a really good and funny memory.

Thinking back on all my school days, there have been a lot of funny and enjoyable days. In my school you have the same people in your class for 8 years&nbsp; (not including people joining and leaving our class). I loved this because I can safely say we all got along so we have lots of good memories. The day that stands out to me the most would have to be the day Mrs. O’Hara was leaving the school. She was nice and bought the whole school ice-cream from an ice-cream van. Oh and another time for a school tour my class and the younger class went to a bog. We all jumped in and before we knew it we were covered in muck from head to toe.&nbsp; For another school tour we went to Bay Sports, a waterpark with a lot of water activities like paddle boarding, swimming and a huge water inflatable slide and water obstacle course. It was so much fun!
