Maria Magdalena Awad, mi abuela, nació en Aguascalientes en 1935.&nbsp;

Vivió con sus padres en Aguascalientes hasta los siete años y después fue al internado hasta los trece años. Cuando tenía trece años sus padres le dijeron a mi abuela y a sus tres hermanos que iban a visitar el Líbano porque era el país de origen de los padres de mi abuela. En medio del océano Atlántico sus padres le dijeron a ella y a sus hermanos que no regresarán a México.

Había dejado en casa su gato que amaba mucho. Después de ese día mi abuela odio&nbsp;todos los animales domésticos.

My grandmother was a seamstess and worked in a haute couture workshop in the center of Valencia and my grandfather worked as an accountant on Centelles Street, in an embroidery company. First they lived on Puerto Rico Street, but when my uncle was born they moved to Joaquin Benlloch Street. They told me that when they moved there were few buildings because the whole neighborhood was full of orange trees. They made many trips together and every weekend they went to see a movie at the cinema. They spent the summers in an apartament in Cullera that they still own.

I have a lot of good memories with my grandfather, especially when I was little, since they picked me up from school because my parents worked. The best memory I have is when we were once in Cullera for the summer, he took me to see a movie he saw when he was younger and then he bought me an ice cream.

My grandmother Teresa was born in 1956. She has 4 brothers and 3 sisters. She used to live in a village called Grabno but she moved to Korczyna when she married my grandfather.

She didn't really had any toys, but she played a lot of games outside with her siblings.

My grandmother Amparo was born on the 1st of October 1956. She lived in Valencia all her life. She studied until she was 14, and at this age she started to work in a bag factory.She was de youngest of nine brothers.

At the age of 51 shye became my grandmother, and years later she'll be grandmother two times more. Now, she's 64 years old, and love her so much.

At the age of 23, she got married to my grandfather, and at 25 she had her first daughter, my mother. Four years later, she had a son, my uncle.

The name of my grandmother is María. She was born on the seventh of July 1938 in Valencia. In her time where the second world war and she told me anecdotes from after the war. She didn't have any studies, she was a housewife duning her lifetime. Her daily routine was boring but very comfortable for her. She only had to get up early to wake up her brothers and then she had to tidy up the house while her parents were away.

When she turned seventeen she met my grandfather and at nineteen she went to live with him. She had four daughters.

The best moment with her was a day at Christmas in my village when she told me about her life.

I'm going to talk about my grandmother Adoración. My grandmother was born on 10th July of 1938 Valencia. Her chilhood was happy

Her parents were named Adoración and Felipe and also she has a brother named Juan.

She studied in a religious school and she worked in a shoes shop and in a take away food restaurant where they prepared homemade food

She has two children named Dori and Raúl. She is currently 82 years old and is very happy and funny. He likes to cook and play with his grandchildren.

He had a happy childhood and got good grades at the Escolapios school, where he studied. He has always liked books and spent most of his free time reading. Despite his good behavior, he hated going to Mass, so every time he had to go he sneaked out to play football with some older friends, leading to punishments at home and sometimes at school. In the end he graduated and made a career as a chartered accountant. When there was a special day, the whole family would gather and eat together. Meals were made with their own animals and vegetables that they had. Regardless of the war, they were lucky to be a wealthy family and not have post-war problems.

My grandfather and my grandmother met when they were little, and during meals and family gatherings since they were cousins but not by blood. They got married in 1965 and a year later they had my father, a few years later in 1973 they had my uncle.

My grandmother likes cooking very much. She belongs to the Housewife Country Club in Korczyna. My grandmother participates in cooking competition. Her older son died when he was 37 years old and her husband died when he was 61 years old.

In this writing, I am going to talk about my maternal mother, whose name is Antonia. She was born on January 16 th , 1940, in a town called Mota Del Cuervo, which is in Cuenca. She had two brothers and one sister, but today only one of her brothers is alive. Her mother was called Amparo and her father, Eugenio.

Mi abuelo pasó un día por su casa y la vio adentro barriendo el piso. Corrió de regreso a casa, agarró su guitarra y regresó. Y todas las noches, cuando venía a cantar, el padre de mi abuela cerraba las persianas y le decía que se fuera.

Pasaron los años y permanecieron juntos, a pesar de que sus padres estaban en contra. mi abuela terminó dando a luz a tres hijos, Juan diego, el mayor y mi tío, María, mi tía, y mi mamá, la menor. Y luego, muchos años después, nací.

My grandmother is Maria, and she was born on 24th March 1934. She married my grandfather on 18th May 1948 and together they had 4 children, two boys and two girls.The sons were called Jose and David and the daughters Ana and Amelia, who is my mum. The life of my granny was very exciting, one day my granny tried to escape by ship to Australia with her brother but the sailors didn't let her get inside because she was only 17  and she didn't have a ticket.

I really miss her but i know she can still see me and take care of me.

La Vida de Mi Abuelo, Boutros (Pedro) Farah (1843-presente)

Porque era muy inteligente, sus hermanos mayores trabajaron muy duro para enviarlo a la escuela y luego a la universidad.

Mi abuelo materno se llama Boutros Farah y nació en enero de 1943 en un pueblo del monte Líbano. Boutros significa Pedro en español. Tenía una gran familia. Era uno de los once hijos; su padre tenía nueve niños con su madre, pero cuando ella murió, se volvió a casar y tuvo otras dos niñas.

Estudió derecho y luego se unió al ejército, un trabajo muy prestigioso en ese momento. Era muy valiente, luchó en muchas guerras; Intentaron emboscarlo y matarlo dos veces, ¡pero logró escapar! Fue un general antes de retirarse.

My grandmother lived in a town,in the town of San Gregorio,in the Alicante province, with 8 brothers (4 sisters and 4 brothers), they got along very well.

My grandmoter name's is Matilde. She was born on 3rd November 1948 in Valencia. She lived in a small house in Valencia too, with her parents and her brothers. She had one older brother and one younger brother.

She went to a school near her house. The boys and girls went to different schools, so she only had girl friends. Also, they didn't wear a uniform. She played with her firends on the street, because there weren't any cars, so it wasn't dangerous. They played traditional games. 

In summer, she usually went to a village called Arañuel with her family. They celebrated birthdays at home with the family. Also my grandmother celebrated the Fallas (our local festivity) and she wore a traditional costume (traje de fallera). She studied in college to be a teacher for 5 years and she got a job in Valencia. When she got married at 23 years old, she stopped working. Then, she had two children, one girl (my mum) and one boy. They had to travel to different cities for work. Later, my grandmother started to work as a teacher again, and she worked during 25 years more.

She travelled a lot and visited a lot of places like England, Mallorca, Marruecos, France, Italy...

I'm going to talk about my granny. Her name is M,Carmen and she was the best grandmother that someone could have had. She was born on Friday 15 of April of 1950 in Oviedo. She was the youngest of the family because she had two old brotherss and one older sister.

Once she finished the primary school she stopped studying and from that moment on she became a difficult teenager to deal with, she did things that she didn't have to do. She always has gone to many parties and she celebrated all the festivities that she could. Those were the best days of her life.

When she was little she always wanted to do all on her own but she really loved to play with her friends  in the street

Later she started to be an adult and working, she didn't study more than primary school so her father helped her find a job in a hospital and after years of education she became a nurse in pregnacies ward in Asturias, but a few years later she moved to a hospital in Valencia.

Cuando mi abuela era más joven, acababa de emigrar a Francia debido a la guerra en Polonia que la obligó a abandonar este país. Cuando terminó la guerra, ella tenía unos 4 años.&nbsp;

Empezó a ir a la escuela en Francia, pero un día recibe una tarea que debe hacer. Esta es la casa de sus sueños. Así que mi abuela era realmente la persona que tenía una casa muy bonita y ni siquiera tenía baño. Así que inventó una casa con baños, cocinas y habitaciones lucrativas. One of the party nights, she met Pablo, my grandfather, in Mislata. They dated for eight years, until they got married in 1967. They have three children: Isabel (my mother) and Amparo and Pablo (my uncles). After getting married, my grandmother stopped working to take care of their children and home. Also, my great-grandmother came to live with her years later.

My grandmother has taken care of me, of my sister Isabel and my cousin Amparo, as if we were her daughters. I remember that she took us to school, played with us, fed us too, and many other things.

Nowadays, she lives very close to my house. I like it very much because I see her almost every day. I love her very much as she is my second mother.

After a few years, Pablo, my grandfather, became a businessman and things began to go much better for all of them. They were very happy during many years, but my grandfather died of an illness in 2006, and my grandmother’s life changed a lot. We are five grandchildren, and I am the third one.

I'm going to talk about my grandmother. Her name is Pilar. She was born in Cudiel, on te 24 of June of 1943. She has one brother. When she was young her pasttime was domino. Her favourite food was rice and lentils and she drank water. She used to celebrate Easter with her friends as a child. When she was an adult, she became a teacher.

She married my grandfather Salvador on the 15 of May of 1971 and they had two daugthers: my mother, Pilar and my aunt, Amparo. She got a degree on teaching and she also has a diploma on valencian language. She travelled to Zaragoza, Madrid, Galicia, among many other places. Now her favourite food is paella and she drinks water. Her favourite music was dancing music. She likes our local festivity "FALLAS".

Cuando llegó al Líbano tuvo que aprender el árabe y el francés muy rápido para la escuela. Ella tenía un trabajo muy importante. Estaba haciendo planificación urbanística para el gobierno del Líbano.

Mi abuela tuvo muchos problemas más tarde: enfermedades como el cáncer, no poder comunicarse con nosotros, etc.

En 1969 mi abuela se casó con Victor Saad, mi abuelo en el Líbano.
