Holidays and Celebration Peruvians celebrate lots of holidays. They also have lots of celebrations. One holiday is Inti Raymi. Inti Raymi means Festival of the sun. Peruvians celebrate this holidays by burning fires the whole night on the longest night of the year. They also pray for the sun on Inti Raymi. Also Carnavales. This holiday is a party before Lent. Carnavales last 3 days and 3 nights. Peruvians wear masks and costumes. Also there in Peru there are Fiestas. Fiestas is a Spanish word for festival.&nbsp;&nbsp; Religion Peruvians mostly celebrate Roman Catholic. Some Peruvians made up their own religion. They mixed Catholic and&nbsp;pre - Hispanic traditions. They even made their own symbol. In Catholic religion some Peruvians don’t get married.&nbsp;&nbsp;

Economics are things that relate to making, buying or selling good and services.

Convictions held by a community, groups or an individual.

President The president of Peru is Martin Vizcarra. Martin Vizcarra was elected in 2016. Being a president in Peru lasts 5 years. Judges are selected by the president. The president also picks the prime minister. The first president of Peru was Alberto Fujimori. Military Activity The Peruvian military has 180,000 people in it. The people are divided into the following: the Army which has 75,000 people, The navy has 18,000 people, the air force has 5,000 people, and paramilitary personnel has 70,000 people. Peru has had to major wars with two countries that border Peru. Chile and Ecuador. The first war with Chile it was a bad war. Peru lost some of its territory. It was called the Pacific War.

Crops Peru grows many crops. Some of the main crops are cotton, sugarcane, coffee, rice, corn, and potatoes. Peru is famous for its potatoes. Peru grows over 4,000 types of potatoes. Goods There are many factories in Peru. Most factories produce silver, zinc, tin, lead, copper, and gold. Peru is one of the largest producers of theses things. Jobs In Peru people have many jobs. Some of the most popular jobs are tourist, farmers, builders, and craftspeople. All of these jobs play an important role in Peru. Currency In Peru the currency they use is nuevo sol. One nuevo sol consists of 100 centimos.

Education Peruvians go to school for 11 years. First Peruvians go to grade school. Grade school last 6 years. Then Peruvians go to secondary school. Secondary school lasts 5 years. Peru has public and private schools. Public schools are free. Private schools costs money. Peru also has religious schools. In school, Peruvians do Science, Math and Spanish classes. There are also music, art and physical education.&nbsp;But, there is a problem. Peru doesn't have a lot of schools. Luckily the government is building small schools so more children can go to school. Clothing Peruvians wear lots of different types of clothes. The first one is traditional clothing. Peruvians were traditional clothing when they work on farms. Peruvians that live in cities wear North American clothes. Some women wear full skirts called polleras. Some women wear&nbsp;mantas around their shoulders. Mantas are brightly colored. Some men wear chullos. These are caps that cover their ears. How Peruvians live and What they Eat Peruvians live in small houses usually Peruvians have 3 or 4 children in their house. Some children have grandparents to live with. Peruvians eat a lot of seafood. Peruvians also eat Piqueo. Piqueo is the main meal of Peruvians meal. Hot peppers are a good snack in Peru. Some peruvians that live near the sea like peppers with fish. Corn on the cob is a favorite vegetables. But the most important food in Peru are potatoes. Hundreds of kinds of potatoes grow in Peru. Growing potatoes is a job that you can do in Peru.&nbsp;
