Such as the Rafflesia Arnoldi, the titan Arum, Nepenthes, and the pitcher plant. There is only one problem, the Sumatran rainforest is under constant threat of becoming extinct. Constant threats to the Sumatran rainforest need to stop, because of the important plants, animals, and resources that are inside it.

Rainforests are filled with many wonders especially the recourses. There are many valuable recourses that come from the forest. Some of many include various sources of food, wood, medicine, and recreation. We don’t realize how many things in our daily life originate from the rainforest. Like coffee, various fruits and vegetables, nuts, coconut oil, and much more. Not only does the rainforest provide things we can eat and drink, but it also provides air to the world. Since trees release oxygen, rainforests are one of the biggest air producers worldwide. Despite only taking up about 6 percent of earth's surface, rainforests account for approximately 50 percent of the worlds plant and animal's species.

(The Orang Rimba Tribe)
Contrary to what most people believe about the Sumantra rainforest. People do live there. They are known as the Orang Rimba Tribe. They are completely reliant on what the forest has in it, so when their home is ripped down by deforestation there is a huge problem with their supplies.

Deforestation problem
(Not my rainforest, but a good example of what deforestation can look like)
Deforestation is the removal of trees from a forest. Deforestation can include clearing the land for farming or livestock, plantations, and construction. Deforestation is happening in the world, because of people unaware of the consequences of cutting down these beautiful trees. We even contribute to it. There are many effects of deforestation. The Sumantra rainforest is a prime example of it. When people cut the Sumantra tree's they are taking the homes of the abundant forms of life and recourses that are inside it.

Not only does deforestation impact the rainforest, deforestation also impacts everyone across the globe. It impacts everyone because rainforests account for 50 percent of all the worlds medicine, so without it most medicines would go out of stock, and many people would become ill or even worse dead. Today, Deforestation is mostly happening in the tropical regions, including the Sumantra rainforest. Areas that were inaccessible in the past are now within reach as people build new roads through the forests. Making it even easier for people to take down the Sumantra's beautiful landscape.
