Project description

This project aims at emphasizing the importance of responsable behaviour, distance learning and web tools in focusing environmental education, especially the 15th goal of the 2030 Agenda.
Its activities have been carried on from January to May 2022 in cooperation with Turkey, Italy, Poland, Greece, Romania and Spain.
All the participating countries managed to integrate the project in the school curricula.
The students from IIS Medi (Italy) were attending the class 4A1 of the Classical Lyceum.

Project Timeline

Since the beginning of the project the coordinator teachers fixed times and deadlines for having clear ideas about the activites and planned them in details thanks to their great cooperation and collaboration.

Cooperation

Tasks were equally distributed among the partners according to their expertise and interests so that each one could give own contribution.

e-Safety

The project emphasized esafety for all the participants (teachers and students). For this reason lessons and webinars in each partner school were dedicated- beyond cyberbullying- also to netiquette, eTwinning code of behaviour, copyright for images, videos, music and texts.

Logo competition

Each partner school proposed a logo for the international competition, publishing it in a TwinBoard. Students' work was documented by pictures. About voting, it was used a Google form.

Communication

Teachers communicated each other by different channels: TwinMail, Teachers' bulletin, Forum, Chatroom, Online meetings, Facebook Page, WhatsApp group, Twitter, Instagram. Videoconferences were arranged inside the TwinSpace and by Zoom.

An online meeting was arranged also for the students: they could play kahoot about the Agenda 2030

Schools introduction

Each delegation of students prepared a video about own school and country. The Italians did it by Biteable.

The Digital Common Calendar

A collaborative work was the Common Calendar by Canva, printable for being used during the project dissemination. Students were asked to select an animal whose species is in danger editing the calendar.

Collaborative map of forest fires

Each delegation of students contributed to this interactive map by Genially adding data and info about forest fires in their country. Moreover, they discussed in the forum for finding means in order to prevent forest fires.

This interactive collaborative map gathered data about fires in 2021. Students were invited to edit it after sending their email address.
