POETRY DRAMA AND CLASSICS ARE ON STAGE

Project description

This project aims at making the students discover the values of literature and its role in modern life and education. Reviving very important literary works of the past and integrating ICT into daily activities at school, they will learn great social and cultural values in a multicultural environment developing also language and soft skills.
The project is both Erasmus and eTwinning and it has been carrying out for two years.
In September 2017 it was presented to the school community at the IIS Medi.

Introducing teachers and students

Teachers and students introduced themselves in a padlet as first approach before their face-to-face meeting during the mobilites.
They could speak about themelves, their families, interests and hobbies and share these information among them.

The first teachers' meeting in Barcelona was important for the planning of activities to be carried out in the classrooms, the calendar of mobilities, the distribution of tasks and roles inside the partnership.

My favourite writers

We started by a brainstorming activity inside the classrooms to vote the best writers from any literature in the world.

Then students selected the books to be read and analysed

CLASSIC REVIEW

The students, guided by their teachers and according to their digital skills, created powerpoint presentations, ebooks and glogsters, shared in the common padlet.

Students did some role plays in order to live the enjoyable side of reading

CLASSICS ARE ON STAGE

The classics of the past can be part of modern life and education.

We tried to give evidence of it through the performance of "Symposium", adapted from Plato and "Lectura Dantis" from the "Divine Comedy" by Dante

We are young poets

A collaborative activity was to write poems: students from each participating country wrote poems about any subject and share them in a padlet; afterwards the best ones were collected in a book, printed by Turkish school.
