20 November
World Childrenβs Day is UNICEFβs annual day for children. It promotes the welfare of children around the world. It also wants to spread awareness for childhood issues and force leaders to help our worldβs most vulnerable individuals, children.
World Childrenβs Day is celebrated on 20th November because on 20th November 1959 the United Nations adopted the Declaration of the Rights of the Child.
On that day the world made a promise to children: to protect them and promote their rights.
