What are your top tips for presenting stories? Show an example.
Have a clear title
Using a good layout on a page can really help. You can do this by making templates or training pupils in how to use consistent layouts ensuring you always include a title. Use background images or comic layout backgrounds to give consistency to pages. Additionally, using things such as internal margins for images alongside text can really help to give the book a professional look and feel.
I often use sites such as pexels.com and pixabay.com to find high quality background images such as the one used on these pages.
Use of a clear sans serif font such as 'Open Sans' can really help with the ease of reading. If you are working with dyslexic students, using the 'Open Dyslexic' font (the one used in the title of this page) can be really helpful. A clear contrasting background colour to the colour of the text can really help visually impaired pupils read the words too.
