2078, July 28 , The brisk wind blew through my face as I strolled down to the bus stand. When I heard the sharp sound of the brakes screeching I knew it was time to get onboard. I got up and sat in my usual seat right next to the window. The bright autumn leaves greeted me as the bus started on its journey, Since my parents died I’ve had to take the bus to work everyday. They bought my first car and the government took it away form me when they died. My eyes teared up just at the thought of my parents, they had helped me everyday and one day they were just gone. The police tried but couldn’t do anything. I lived in a foster home for about two years but then I reached 18 and I got kicked out of the home. People never wanted older kids, they always chose the cute and tiny ones. Since then I managed to find a job at a local Floormart and buy a small flat near a waterfall. Everyday I would be greeted by the sound of gushing waters flooding In from my windowsill. Since I was a little boy the sound of nature always soothed me and today It did its job even better then usual. I was still coping with my parents death but my bigger issue was that I still had to find my sister. She was sent to the same foster home as me but since she was younger she stayed their longer then me, I haven’t seen her since i got kicked out.

One day on my way to work i decided to stop by my mail box just to see if my sister or someone else had mailed me, and to my surprise i did have mail. It read

Malistar 192839

July 4

Dear my brother Alex Ash. Just saying since I’m writing this letter I am still alive. A family adopted me and brought me to Malistar. I stayed with them for a few weeks but one day when we went to a concert we got separated and I never saw them again. Ive been living off of scrap food and sleeping in alleyways. If you somehow manage to get to me there is a man named Jeremy who owns a fruit cart at the town square. He will know where I am.

I was shocked. I hadn’t heard from my sister in half a year. The gap in my heart was finally filled. Yet I still had the humongous problem of finding her. I felt a drive and decided to skip work. I bought a geoplane ticket to Malistar. I had to figure out if my sister was actually alive. I stepped into the geoport and a loud blanket of chatter rolled over me. I was used to the immense amount of chattering because I had a job at the airport for around 7weeks. One day I was helping a customer who was confused where to go. I directed her to her gate but then my boss came stomping towards me shouting HURRY UP! I got fired that day.
The airports ventilation let out freezing cold air even with the immense heat outside the inside was still cold. I walked towards one of the two security checkpoints and noticed there were very little people heading towards the direction of my flight. I just put it away because Malistar use to be a amazing lovely planet where animals like deers and rhinos live. These days Malistar doesn’t have ice caps anymore and most of its land is covered by vast dessert plains. It’s inhabited by mostly poor people who’s homes were destroyed by global warming. Malistar was also a massive route for drug smuggling. The opened plains provided a great way to hide drugs and other materials which would then be picked up by someone else and sent towards the buyer. Di-Di-Di the sound of the man operating the scanner was the only sound that filled the room. Everyone else looked half asleep. I stepped into the scanner and it spun around tracing for any kind of weapon. After a few seconds the scan came out clean and I headed towards the boarding gate. I briskly walked towards my gate when I heard a loud BANG! Then another BANG! And another BANG! I knew immediately what was going on. It had to be the Arbiter Clan. They were one of the most furious clans and would stop at nothing to do what there higher ups say.

The airports sirens came to life and everyone was running around. Are plane still had 10 minutes till take off but I knew ten minutes was to long. By then the clan would have got to the plane and slaughtered everyone onboard. I shouted furiously at the ladies at the desk but they wouldn’t do anything. They were more scared about loosing their job then loosing their life. At that moment I knew I had to take this situation into my own hands so. I jumped over the glass barrier and sprinted towards the plane. People saw me and started jumping over too. The ladies were just hiding behind the counter scared lifeless as everyone ran towards the plane. I leaped onto the plane and everyone was startled people weren’t suppose to board yet but guess what I was doing. Boarding. The sturdiest tried to get me off the plane but I explained to her that the Arbiter Clan was here. Her face saddened and she let go of me. Everyone already on the plane was scared to. The pilots got in their seats and prepared for takeoff. They didn’t say anything to welcome people onboard or serve drinks. Everyone was to scared. The planes engines came alive and we turned around. I thought about if I should even do this. She was a bratty sister and never did anything good for me. I felt like I shouldn’t waste my life to save my sisters. I was only 23 and still had at least 100 years to live. I put on a sad face and sat there staring into the empty seat in front of me.

My heart trembled as the plane got ready for takeoff. BANG! The sound of a flash bang flooded through the cabin. I couldn’t see anything but all I knew was that they had got in, around 6 Arbitarians ran in with guns. Everyone was scared so we complied with their wishes. They started putting ecolocks on everyone and it started to become a hostage situation. When it became my turn to be locked up a man with black cargo pants and a dark grey jacket walked up. He was wearing a Kevlar vest covered in magazines of 762 Rifle bullets. The bullets were military grade and I wonder how they got them. Only army men have them. The man stared at me for a awfully long time and then all of the sudden I saw his finger tighten on the trigger. Then he and his partner turned around and mowed down all of the Arbiter Members. He then took of this thick mask and his face looked familiar. It looked like someone I knew. Someone I loved. It was my father. I knew there wasn’t anyway he survived his plane crash but his face was definitely my dads. His face was the same but it had a huge scar running down form his left ear all the way down to his chin. I gave him a big hug and said “dad?”

We agreed and started getting off the plane. The clan still had people inside the geoport so we had t be careful not to be spotted. We all ran towards the geoport entrance but there was around ten members guarding it. We I’d behind a wall contemplating all possible situations. My dad came up with a plan and asked everyone to run towards the entrance. He looked at me deeply in my eyes and told me I needed to find my sister. Then he and his partner walked towards the guards. They thought that they came back from a patrol. But my dad pulled out his gun and shot 3 of them down. Then his partner pulled out a machine gun and sprayed everyone else down. We all started running towards the entrance when my dads partner got shot in the back. He fell to the ground and my dad ran towards him. Men flooded in from all directions. All the passengers ran towards the gates but I looked back for my dad. He was pinned down by gunfire and the only thing stopping him from getting shot was a concrete barricade. To my right passengers were dropping dead from the immense gunfire. He looked at as if to say I love you and started shooting. He pulled out smoke smoke grenades and slowly the room began to fill with smoke. His friend looked at him and said

“I hold them off, just get your son to gate 3 there is a space craft that can get him out of here”

Pg 3
“Its me son”he responded.

I bursted out in tears and hugged him once more. I ran through it in my head and realized the he came here for me not money or anything he came here to find me.

“We got to start moving” His friend shouted

His partner laid against the barrier and covered us as we ran towards the only passageway without Arbitarians. We made it to the corridor but we still had to make it to the gate. We traveled in silence and the only time we made noise was to communicate. We crept closer and closer to the gate but when we got near we saw that there was a squad stationed there. There was four guys fully geared and my dad was the only one of us with a gun. He popped out of our hiding spot and spread three down. The last guy managed to hit him once before he mowed down. My dad fell to the ground and looked into my eyes. I felt my eyes start to tear up, but he had no emotion. He looked dead serious as he said

“ Son you must go find your sister, I will hold them off as you get take off.”

We looked at each other knowing this was the last time we would ever see each other. I stepped into the plane and turned on the engines. A roar greeted me back and I started to turn it around. I looked through the glass and saw my dad get shot in the head. My eyes focused back on the controls as my face flooded with tears. I felt bad that I wasn’t able to save my dad. He had done so much for me but I never got to repay the favor. He taught me many things including how to fly and all I could do was watch him die. My heart sunk down and I sat there. I sat in the cockpit thinking about life when the plane started getting shot at. I came into the realization that is till had to find my sister and get out of here. I remembered what my dad said and new that was the least I could do for him. I started the throttle back up again and the plane started to gain speed. At around 70 knots the plane started to take off and fly. In no time I was leaving the Kepler 22b atmosphere and headed towards Malistar. In around an hour I was entering Malistar’s atmosphere. My ship started to rumble dew to the lower gravity on the planet rocks could get all the way up into the atmosphere but humans were to heavy to get that high. I approached the Geoport and contacted the tower. They let me land on runway 4 and I made a perfect landing. I parked my plane and ran towards the geoport.

I stepped through the blue jelly like force field and took off my space suit. Unlike Kepler 22b , malistar was a sun that dried out and humans decided to build a plantation on it to harvest energy. People then started to move onto the planet and it became known as malistar. I walked through the decontamination rooms and entered the geoport. The geoport was clustered with people from all over the galaxy and I immediately knew it would be hard to find my sister. I jumped into a cab and we headed towards the town square. When I got there people were all over the place bartering and selling fruits and Vegetables. I looked around hoping to find Jeremy but there were so many fruit carts that Jeremy could be 1/100. So I started to ask each fruit cart owner what there name was. After around 30 carts a old man with a big white beard told me his name was Jeremy. I was relieved and immediately asked him about my sister. He told me that she is in one of the side alleys to behind the carts.

I immediately headed towards the alleys and to my surprise there was a girl sitting against an old brick house. The girl looked at me as I walked towards her. Her face lit up and my heart broke. It was my sister. She stood up and ran towards me. We hugged for about a minute not saying or doing anything just hugging. My eyes flooded and I said “ I love you”.
