It seems that, on the whole, our project has reached its goal as our students feel that they have improved their language and digital skills !

About half the students said they didn't speak English outside the class and that they didn't play escape games but many were looking forward to learn. They weren't familiar with project activities which may explains why they thought they wouldn't enjoy the collaborative tasks (eMagazine, story and enigmas).

Many students had never worked on an international project as it was the first contact with eTwinning for 73% of them. After European S'capade, about 80 % of the students would be interested in joining a new eTwinning project because many think that it is important to do projects with other countries and, above all, to have fun !

A majority of students in this project were aged 14-15 and belonged to a single class in each country. More than 60 % of them answered each of the surveys, so their answers will be quite relevant.

All the teachers were happy with the organisation of the project concerning both deadlines and content. Nevertheless, some did feel that teaching this project was time-consuming.

Our students had never created an escape game and, logically, they expected this task to be the most difficult but in the end, they were very happy and proud to be able to play it ! They have also enjoyed a lot taking part in meetings which explains the feeling they have that they've improved their English skills (p.13).

Most of the activities planned in the project were appreciated but some less, maybe because some tools were not easy for the students. The organisation of transnational meetings was difficult for many teachers. This may be linked to the fact that, in some schools, projects are not integrated in the curriculum and working with colleagues on a long project may be difficult.

Most of the teachers agree that games enhance teaching but escape games are not often played in our classes. Most teachers enjoyed creating an escape game with their students and a majority will continue either using or even creating some in the future.

In the beggining, a majority of students were not eager to work in teams but in the end, this is what they enjoyed the most.

As a conclusion, we can say that our students enjoyed working on the project "European Escapade" and that it has allowed them to improve their skills in English, digital awareness, creativity and, most of all, in cooperation !

Five teachers collaborated in the project "European Escapade", so it wasn't very difficult to collect their answers ! It wasn't their first eTwinning project.

In order to assess the project, we have submitted two surveys to the students and one to the teachers. The first series of questions were submitted to the students in October 2021 and the second series, in April 2022. Teachers answered a single survey in May, at the end of the project. In this book, you will read the analysis of the results.

In most of the schools, the project was integrated in the curriculum. It is noticeable that a class volunteered and that the students who didn't, finally enjoyed it.

Like most teachers today, we often use ICT in our classes. This is why most of our students feel comfortable working with computers.
