Hello. My name is Francisco and I’m twelve years old. My birthday is on 20th January. I live in Vila do Conde. I study at Frei João School. I wake up early because my classes start at ten past eight. I always have breakfast before I get dressed. I go to school by car. My father or my mother take me. I usually study five subjects in a day. I have two breaks to eat a snack and talk to friends. I finish classes at twenty to one. My favourite subject is PE because it’s a subject where we can relax, because we do a lot of exercises. I dislike science because I think it’s boring. I like English, because it’s a foreign language that we use in a vast majority of countries.
In my free time, I play basketball, play computer games with my friends, play with my sister and cousins. I also hang out with my friends on the mobile phone. Before the pandemic I used to visit my grandparents in Bragança and Lisboa once a month. I used to go on holiday on New Year’s Eve. Last year I visited Ireland. It was fantastic. When I was ten years old I visited Scotland and we participated in a Torch Parade, the Torch Light Procession on 30th December. This ritual has more than 100 years - New Year’s Eve is called Hogmanay. I loved Scotland. 7.º A
