What do Poland and Croatia have in common?

As you can see, both state flags have the same two colours: red and white.

France and Croatia are divided into regions. Croatia has got 21 regions or counties and France 18.

Unfortunately there are no Aura Borealis or Northern Lights in Croatia. We have beatiful mountain regions and hiking is becoming more and more popular in Croatia. We used to have skiing resorts but they aren't as big or popular as yours.

Both countires have also beautiful mountains. Tatra mountains are located in Poland (picture on the left). Croatia has a long mountain range called Velebit (picture on the right).

Poland has coast on the Baltic Sea. Croatia has coast on the Adriatic Sea.

France and Croatia have beautiful sea beaches and tourism plays an important role for the country economy. France is well known for its vineyard but Croati has also many vineyards and wine tradition.

Another common thing between our countries is that we have excellent world famous footballers: Robert Lewandowski is from Poland and Luka Modrić is from Croatia.

Our popular cheese cake is called štrukli. We don’t have fjords but we have more than thousan islands and many national parks. The most famous national park is the Plitvice Lakes.

Both Croatians and Polish have traditional chicken soup! Croatians eat it on a daily basis and especially when they have the flu or cold!
