PURPOSE OF THIS BOOK
This book has created as a guideline for teachers who would like to work on English stories using digital tools. This book is a teacher's handbook for the development of creative methods.
It shows the collaboration of the teachers and students involved and the lesson plans the teachers created throughout the project.
Each teacher was responsible for one work month and one story. They designed lesson plans covering the whole month and including plenty creative tasks using the reading strategies and web 2.0 tools.
The purpose of this book is to get those lesson plans and students' works together and share them with the teachers interested in the implementation of story reading to the curriculum and/or eager to learn how to use web 2.0 in a meaningful way. And lastly the second reason is to disseminate our project final output.

ABOUT PROJECT
The basic idea of this project is to make students read stories to empower pupils to improve essential 21st-century literacy skills and reach deeper understanding of a story. We will use pre- while- and after- reading strategies to conduct the activities which mostly include digital tools. Pupils will be able to develop not only a deeper reading understanding but also digital skills.
This project also supports the collaboration and teamwork process. In every month we create a mixed team work for students and arrange online meetings to share ideas, opinions and exchange their reflections about the stories as well as learning to work cooperatively and collaboratively.
This project also aims to combine reading skills with writing with the help of digital tools. They will learn the 5 elements of a story (setting, character, plot, conflict and theme) and carry out some activities to use them and understand their importance. Thus, they will be able to write a digital story.
