We got the topics love and acceptance and it sounds easy to combine them, but honestly, it wasn’t. We came up with the idea of our story, scrolling down through tik tok when we encountered a video asking us: “if you had to write a story about 2 people who fall out of love, what would the last sentence be?” That is when it hit me. Suddenly my mind came up with a good ending and that is how we got our story. Like we said before, combining these two topics was harder than expected because we didn’t want to do a common love story. We wanted to mix it up. Also, our idea started with the ending so developing all the story and making sure we had all the elements the story required was definitely a challenge. Another thing we had a lot of trouble with was the limit of pages. We had to choose wisely what we wanted to write because we were surpassing the limit. But in the end, it really worked out.

The most gratifying part of writing this story was reading it after it was done. We could not believe that we wrote an amazing story. We really exceeded our expectations and we were so proud of ourselves and what we are able to do when our imagination starts. We really exceeded our expectations and we were so proud of ourselves and what we are able to do when our imagination starts. One of the requirements was to use narrative techniques. That was certainly an obstacle for our writing since we didn’t expect to include them. We decided to use a cliffhanger and implement it in the end. I honestly had mixed feelings about this decision, however, we do not regret it at all. This narrative technique certainly made our ending better. The golden rule we chose was don’t say in ten words what you can say in two, we applied it to our story because both of us like describing everything in a lot of words so this reminds us to stick to the main idea and don’t go out of track.

“Mommy, can you tell us a bedtime story?”
Okay, sweethearts, here it goes. This is not a love story but a story about love. Let’s go back to the autumn of 2015.

It was August 23, one chilly afternoon in France, I stood there in the Eiffel tower appreciating the view of a beautiful sunset. It was my first day in Paris after moving from Madrid to study fashion and communication at the French University, and hopefully, to find love in what is called “The City of Romance”. Or at least, that’s what I thought.

On the other side of the tower, there was a young, seemingly wealthy, handsome, French man who studied international business at the French University. He was evidently a Senior. How would I’ve known this guy would soon become my strongest motivation and weakness at the same time. Here is a little bit of background information about him. He was pretty over the top on everything he did. He was ambitious and he really knew how to make me fall in love.
